Colour Scheme

We are thinking of a navy blue and burgundy red colour scheme. Has anyone done/doing this and have any advice/ideas/inspiration for this?

My sister had navy blue scheme and it was incredible. She considered burgundy but was advised it would be too much by her photographer friend. I have to say I agree. The navy was very classy and was enough subtle colour. She put some uplifting colours in their posies which were lovely

I am not sure I would put Burgundy and Navy together. They are both quite strong colours, which are from different colour palettes and I feel that might clash. I am having Burgundy with Blush Pink, as its best to put a strong colour with a lighter colour in the same palette and then use an accent like gold or silver.

If you want Navy I would choose a secondary lighter colour in the same palette or just stick with navy on its own with either gold or silver accents. Navy and Gold looks so classy Smiley smile

Have a look on Pinterest at "Navy Wedding themes" and you will get inspo.

I personally find it too dark having two deep strong colours. But at the end of the day it's your wedding. If you and your FH both like it then go for it. It doesn't really matter what other people think. It's your wedding so do what you want to do Smiley smile

I am getting married in December and my
Colour scheme was going to be navy for the men and Burgundy dresses for the bridesmaids, I loved that for the Christmas time, I have now had to change the dress colour to Berry, as I couldn’t find burgundy dresses that all my bridesmaids liked. If you like the colours together then go for it. x

Christmas wedding for us and having Navy blue for the men and burgundy for the women, Skopes do a gorgeous navy blue suit with burgundy check (Doyle suit) which fits in beautifully. https://www.skopes.co.uk/doyle-suit-navy-check-mm3033.html
Go for what makes you happy, not what "works" for other people xx

Navy and burgundy is such a stunning combo and I highly recommend a burgundy wedding dress. It’s rich and luxurious with a vintage charm, way more distinctive than white. It flatters every skin tone, brightens complexions beautifully, and looks amazing in photos. Check out https://www.azazie.com/all/wedding-dresses — they have an incredible range of burgundy gowns in satin chiffon and velvet, each one breathtaking enough to make you the star of your big day.
