I was thinking of getting some comfy shoes to wear for the evening and Mr DB has already expressed an interest in getting some sneaker/pump type shoes to change into also.

Then I have seen you can get converse personalised!

I would probably wear them quite a lot afterwards as my job (I work in a lab) has a very casual dress code and most days I wear skinny jeans, a top and cardi. However, I have to wear full-cover shoes, so can't wear ballerinas or sandals in the summer, instead I wear these sort of trainer things.

Are they truely awful? Or are they truely awful for me, but H2B could get away with them?

Here is a flash of our very own Ozzy converse:

    Go for grey with yellow stitching!

    Grey = wearable

    Yellow = Happy summer days!

    I have a problem. I don't know what size I will be. I'm usually a Euro 41, which a uk 7 or 8 depending on the shoe shop. Can't find a size chart on their website.

    When you come to add it to your basket, they have a little converter where you put in your normal uk shoe size and it gives you a 'converse size.' Some converse styles are a bit off with sizing.

    The normal all-stars are true to size, I am normally a UK 5, so I ordered a UK 5, which is also a Converse 5 and they fit!

    But I'm a UK 7 in some shops and a UK 8 in others. I have to go by Euro sizing. A true UK 7 should be a Euro 41, but many shops label a Euro 40 as a UK 7, when in fact, it's more like a UK 6/6.5.

    Next time you're in town, pop into somewhere that sells Converse and try on some in whatever style you are thinking of ordering. Then you'll know for sure.

    Just found this post! Loving this idea.

    I can't decide whether to put 'bride' or '8 9 12' on the heel?

    Also I'm wondering about ordering a pair for groom to wear on the evening as a surprise... but £50 a lot if he doesn't like them customised and wont wear them again.

    I'm bumping up this old post because I HAVE to have a pair of these for my wedding! You can go on the Converse website and customise them but the text on the heel stripe comes out very small compared to these pics. Can anyone help with where to get them from? Thanks! x

    Aah cool! So the text does come out bigger than shown on the website. Fantastic thank you!

    Now to decide whether to have 'Bride' or ' Mrs H'!

    I've got some of these, but have the personalisation down the side, rather than the heel - more room that way!

    I really want to wear Converse for the whole ceremony (as much as I love heels, I struggle to wear them for more than 30 mins!) and I live in my Converse so it makes sense.

    I also want to design a pair, but a pair I can continue to wear rather than just a pair for the day. I felt I was alone in this pursuit so I'm glad I'm not!
