Unless you are having enormous tables, you don't want anything too big. By the time you've got all the plates, glasses, cutlery etc, there is already going to be a lot of stuff on the table. And anything too tall would get in the way of people being able to see the person opposite.

View quoted message Maybe you could lift them up on a stand,so they are higher up and people see them more, you can then scatter some gems in your colour scheme around the stand to add more impact
