Does it have to be cake?

We’re having a “cake” made of cheese - everyone we’ve told loves the idea (except my 10 and 11 yo nieces!!). Will probably also supply some sweet things in the form of brownies/doughnuts etc but will just get from Costco. I
ts your wedding - do what you want. If you dont want to follow a tradition (be it cake or something else), then dont!

I think you could just get little cup cakes for kids and if you dont want big cake just get a cheap one and a cheese mixture for everyone to try xxx 💗

Cheese, or a couple of friends had a pork pie. Basically it's whatever you want. Doesn't have to be cake, no!

I was at a wedding this weekend and they didn't do a cake cutting at all (or if they did I missed it!) I can honestly say it wasn't missed by anyone and they had some cake and doughnuts available through the evening for anyone who still wanted something. I've seen ideas on Instagram like a cake of cheese or pies/ smashing a pinata/ champagne tower if you want that moment.

We're having a tower of brownies stacked up like a pyramid that we'll cut instead! My mum's making them for us as she's famous for her brownie's amongst my friends so it's a nice personal touch

We are having a brownie stack same as Chloe and my partner and I are making it ourselves. We are having afternoon tea so cake will already be readily available for those who want it x

Cheese cake is defiantly a good alternative. I'm thinking of a sweet table with white burger boxes that are decorated for takeaway sweeties haha, figured it was better then bags

You could decorate them in your colurs for a personal touch boxes are better x💗

We're having to do a registry bit on a different day and I've said I only want my MoH and his BM to be their. The handfasting and the reception is the big day but its upset both our mums and my step mum 😑 x💙
