Hi all, we are having a short engagement and are getting married at the end of April this year. Budget is tight so can't justify more than around £500 on a dress. Obviously this knocks out most designers brand new so I've been looking at high Street and second hand on still white. I just dont know what on earth I want! I've ordered a couple from needle and thread to try but im afraid my h2b will just think I look like an old lady. I really am getting so worked up about this. Can anyone suggest anywhere obscure to look that I may not have? I like vintage style, definitely dont want strapless or mermaid, I quite like midi length, the plan is to wear green shoes. Im a size 12 and only 5 foot 3. Anything you can suggest to stop my brain from exploding would be great thank you!xx

Hi Rachel,
Have a look at StillWhite, it is an online market place for people to sell second hand dresses/brand new and changed mind etc. I think it is an American website but people do use this to sell in the UK.

I found a beautiful dress, nearly half the price and not worn- the bride had changed her mind!

Vinted website might have something, but you need to spend some time looking for it. I got my dress from Princessly and it arrived pretty quick. The price was lower than i expected and the quality of the dress turned out to be amazing. Good luck and hope you will have a magical day!

I considered tea length dresses and found digforvictory, dolly and dotty, pretty kitty online. I've ended up with a gorgeous dress from Coast which feels so special but was only £230! I do have some options I need to try and sell though as I ended up outside of return periods!

The majority of bridesmaid dresses come in white and ivory. And honestly, absolutely NO-ONE would have a clue that the dress was not a "real wedding dress".
Bridesmaids dresses are a fraction of the cost of wedding dresses yet just as beautiful.

Additionally as mentioned, Ever Pretty is also ideal.
