Favours

I am making keyrings as favours for our wedding, obviously the front of these looks good but the back is not so pretty so I need to cover it somehow. Trying to think what would be best.

I could print something with the wedding date on, or similar. Or another option is to use some of the fabric from the bridesmaid dresses or men's waistcoats.
Curious to hear what others think. Favours 1

You could use fabric from the wedding if not too expensive. Alternatively, back with paper in your wedding colours - you could also add the wedding date, venue & your names.

Fabric would be trickier but would be a nice personal touch. I still have a lavender bag made with offcuts from the bridal party waistcoats & dresses from a wedding I attended well over 10 years ago!

Oh, I love the idea of lavender bags made from the offcuts of the fabric! A lovely keepsake. Coloured paper or card is a good idea for the back of the keyrings (only issue with that being that we don't have a set colour theme!!)

Just look at the colours you are using in the wedding and go from there - e.g. groom's suit, flowers, bridesmaids dresses etc. We didn't have a 'set colour theme' as such, but found that some colours were naturally repeating.

Printed with names and dates or fabric from your wedding sound perfect. One thing though, I assume that you have tested if the cross stitch will even fit in the holder. I have just done a handful and found that it will only take photo paper back to back and that was a struggle getting the two halves to properly close. Apart from the crosstitch being on fabric + the thread - isnt it even thicker on the back ?

The thickness should be fine the backs have a little bit of extra space. 😊 I'll have to try one and see how it works.

Glad they fit ok, I struggled with just two photos, the part you push back in was tricky getting it to sit back down. Maybe mine were a bit too cheap Smiley xd (personal use only )
