French style set yoghurts-you can now get them in Tescos

Pink Han-bag, 22 of May of 2009 at 17:19 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 13

I remember mentioning these aaaages ago, probably on a nostlagia thread, and others remembering them with fondness too. I've always looked for them when shopping but not found any, until this week when I was doing the Tesco shop online. I've just taken delivery of them and gobbled the vanilla one down and they're the same as the ones I had as a kid from Sainsburys ?

I know they're only yoghurts but I'm not keen on runny ones, I is happy ?

Thought I'd share for fellow set yoghurt fans ?

Is it hard to get set yoghurts? I hate them and went through a phase of repeatedly buying them accidentally, little bastards.

You can get them in Asda too. Mr R gets them. I don't like them. They give me the heebiejeebies.

You may be able to get french style set yoghurts, but can you get Danette?

I refuse to move home until Danone export it to the UK.

I love set yoghurts and had some fab Danone Frutas del Bois (or similar) which were mixed berry yummy delights

The packaging looked like Actimel but they were far superior.........!

They're the only yogurts I'll eat (can't stand "bits" in my yoghurt!) but am puzzled that you've not been able to find them until now?

I've been buying them from Asda/Morriscums/Tesco etc for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages.

I've even bought MunchBunch ones but they're not like I remember them from my childhood, there's no more Pedro Orange ?

I'm with you Knownowt. Horrid wobbly retching inducing things, used to make me gag when my Mum gave me one. Love normal yoghurt though, 'specially Bionta seedy stuff, yum!

I normally shop in Tescos or Sainsburys but used to shop in Asda occasionally and I've really never ever seen them no matter how often I've looked, I can't believe I've been missing out for years I just assumed they'd stopped doing them ?

I tried munch bunch a while ago but they're not the same texture I remember ☹️

Oh I adore set yoghurts. I've a massively fond memory of eating tonnes and tonnes of Marks and Spencer ones- they came in a glass jar with a screw lid and I have never thought to look for them until now. If someone comes along to tell me they are still available, I shall love them (and M & S) forever! ?

<brings vomit into her mouth> but they have that clear juice stuff like spit on the top?.. They are horrible but we get them here so they must be on the mainland if we get them.

    Ewww.

I'm with peanut with the nasty juice on top stuff ?

It's all about a nice creamy fruity proper yoghurt.
