I don't think there is a set etiquette, some people still have the traditional roles, but honestly it is entirely up to you to choose who you want in your bridal/groom party and the role name given is not relevant, it is the people that count, so you can have Man of Honour or Best Lady if you wanted to switch the gender stereotyped roles around.

As Charlotte said, its your day! You can have anything you want, surround yourself with good people and that's all you really need

You can have anything and anyone you want! I have a male Maid of Honour for example, both me and FH had strong male friends we wanted in the wedding party, so we're calling mine Ushers and his Groomsmen and slightly differentiating with different colour ties. There are traditional terms out there but you can do whatever you like with them and include whoever is most important to you
