Help! Surprise pregnancy!

Charlotte, 12 June, 2022 at 12:57 Posted on Planning 0 8
Hi ladies. I've just found out I am pregnant! I think I'm about 3 weeks meaning I'll be 10 weeks when we get married. I don't want to tell anyone at all until the 12 week mark but I am petrified about starting to show by 10 weeks? My wedding dress is really fitted and I'm worried someone might guess! Will I start to show by 10 weeks? I can't afford a new dress and I don't know what to do Smiley sad please help!!! X

Congratulations! If this is your first pregnancy then at around 12 weeks it's very unlikely you will have a visible bump. However, because you won't be drinking alcohol then guests may suspect pregnancy for this reason x

Thanks. Well luckily my drink of choice is vodka lemonade so when I'm drinking just lemonade no one will think any different! And for the toasts, my fiance said he will make sure the staff fill my glass with alcohol free fizz Smiley winking

Yes this is my first one (at 35 too, week) so I hope that I won't be showing so that we can it under wraps.

I had a friend who was pregnant with her first at that stage at her wedding. She always shows super-early (she's never managed to get to 12 weeks without nearly everyone around her guessing because of her bump) but it wasn't noticeable at her wedding. She said she couldn't eat anything though, because she was already only just fitting into her dress!

Some people may guess but hopefully won't say anything.

    Hi Charlotte,

Firstly a huge congratulations it's such wonderful news.I get you are concerned about showing. Every women and every pregnancy is different. For both my pregnancies I didn't show until about 16 weeks.I mean to me I looked pregnant but no one else knew. My first I was nearly 12 weeks pregnant and went to a wedding. Fooled everyone and wore my normal size dress . When I was 16 weeks pregnant with my second baby I went to a wedding and I wore a dress a size bigger. I think at ten weeks you will be okay 🙂. Try not to worry you will be stunning. Enjoy every minute of it all 😊Best of luck with everything
