Help! You’re mini-moon spa/hotel recommendations needed

Bride123, 21 August, 2012 at 10:01 Posted on Planning 0 11

Hi ?

My OH and I have been thinking about having a mini-moon right after our wedding (end of Feb) and then a honeymoon later in the year. We both like the idea of a romantic trip away to a hotel/spa somewhere in the UK for 2 nights or more – would anyone be able to share their recommendations?

I’ve tried doing a search on hitched but most spas mentioned were not named… Any suggestions greatly appreciated! Thanks x

    Hello

Where are you looking to go to? We went to a fabulous place called Thoresby Hall for a weekend away, and if we have the money after our wedding I would certainly go again.

I shall be watching this thread for inspiration myself!

Depends what area you're looking - the Belfry is a nice hotel with good spa facilities, as is De Vere Carden Park and Ribby Hall is fab too.

Thanks for both of your suggestions, will check them out!

We're looking at anywhere in the UK as we don't mind travelling far as long as the hotel is lovely! We live in London and I've asked a lot of friends/families for their suggestions but so far nothing further than Sussex! ☹️

We didn't go to a hotel, but stayed in a lovely lodge in the middle of Scotland. Each lodge has it's own hot tub and sauna and they also have a beautician that can visit and does massages and facials! I would definately recommend it - http://www.clovahotel.com/1bed-lodges.cfm It was fantastic sitting in the hot tub watching the wildlife go by ?

You could treat yourself to a couple of nights at one of the plush hotels in London? The Dorchester is amazing and has a spa too

If you are interested in Bath area, Id highly reccomend visiting/staying in Castle Combe -Voted the pretties village in England, and where War Horse was filmed, to name a few.

There are 2 hotels in Castle Combe, The Castle Inn and the more extravagant, Manor House Hotel.

    Good luck with your search.

We are booked into a Q hotel in Cheltenham - Cheltenham Chase for our mini moon. Unfortnately we were restricted to area as we had to be close to the in laws who will be looking after our son.
