Sorry for the duplication in the honeymoon forum...If you don't mind me asking, how much are you spending on your honeymoon? I am in the process of looking at different options and the honeymoon budget seems to be getting out of control! Are you having a 'once in a lifetime' trip or a 'normal'...

Purple_lilies- we are going to Thailand and Hong Kong. I have been before but OH hasn't. We are going to travel to three places over 2 1/2 weeks. I think Thailand can be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be, accommodation can be found relatively inexpensively but you can also choose to stay in complete 5* luxury if you want.

We're going to Thailand too for a month which is going to bankrupt us but it's honestly the part of the whole wedding that I'm most looking forward to. We're going to Bangkok, Chaing Mai, then a week or so we've not decided yet, then Koh Samui, Koh Phangnan, Koh Lak, back to Bangkok then home! We don't really like just sunbathing on holidays and get bored in the one place so more of a backpacking style honeymoon seemed best for us! We're trying to stuck to around £50 per night for accommodation. Not sure about spending money yet!

We did Thailand for our honeymoon last year (after lots of changing our mind over the destination!). We went for just over two weeks and I think it cost £4k for flights & hotels. We did Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Koh Samui. It was brilliant, would definitely recommend doing a few places as you get to see so much more. We loved Chiang Mai and I think if we didn't end up having a baby this year we probably would have done another trip to Thailand to visit different islands.

We booked through Kuoni and did a gift list which helped with the cost. Plus being honeymooners we got free room upgrades (which included breakfast), discounts on massages, free bottles of wine in the room etc. Thailand can still be pretty cheap and we mixed cheap with expensive so we didn't really end up spending that much but felt like it was a special holiday.

We spent £3,500 excluding spending money. We got flihts to Las Vegas for 5 nights then to New York for 4 nights and Barbados for 7 nights which was all inclusive. The hotel in Las Vegas was part of our wedding l think so not part of the £3,500.
