How much did your honeymoon cost?

Hey guys, We have started looking at honeymoons and I guess I just hadn't thought about a budget for that side of things. If any of you don't mind sharing, could you let me know how much yours cost and what you're getting for that? Thanks!

Just a shade under £2000 for a week in a lovely hotel (half-board, including flights) just on the edge of Fira on Santorini in Greece on the first week of September (an incredibly generous wedding gift from my parents), plus about £650 total in spending money between us.

Thanks guys, really helpful. Our rough idea is this:

3/4 nights in NYC (it's always somewhere I've wanted to do as our honeymoon), 3/4 nights in Florida to do Universal studios - mainly for Harry Potter world!! and then 3/4 nights in the Bahamas as it's just under Florida and we thought it would be a nice relaxing end to what will probably be a busy week.

OH did some research and just for flights and hotels it was coming at £10k, which completely floored me. I see a few of you are around similar prices though so maybe it's not as insane as it seemed at first. Maybe we just need to do some more research to see what better options we would have. Will definitely have a look at the site you posted Jen - thanks!

We have lived together for a while too so hopefully will get some money towards it which can help with spending while we're out there - I'm not a fan of asking for money (or any gifts) but am thinking that will mean we end up with money anyway, which I don't have a problem with!

Ours is £6200, 2 weeks in Caribbean, 1 week St Lucia, 1 week Grenada, both all inclusive through Sandals.

We are also flying premium both ways with BA.

This includes all internal flights/transfers etc and we get a $250 spa voucher Smiley smile

The lady who booked our honeymoon found us an amazing deal (she actually beat sandals direct prices!) x

Ours was £1400 with about £500 spending money. It was a week half board in Croatia, we couldn't have afforded anything else and it was just a chance for us to get away. I think if you have the money and can afford it then go for it but also don't feel pressured that the honeymoon has to be perfect or has to be the most expensive holiday you'll ever go on because I'm sure you're have lots of chances as husband and wife to have a special holiday together.
