How much extra time for rush hour traffic?

Stargazerlily2626, 5 August, 2009 at 17:24 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 3

I have to travel from North London to Bury St Edmunds tomorrow morning to arrive by 9am. I always train it but due to the strike there are no trains so I am going to have to brave the drive. I have no experience of rush hour car commuting at all. The various route planners suggest it will take between 1 hr 30 - 1hr 45. How much extra time would you leave for hiccups and rush hour traffic (I have purchased a sat nav in preparation so I'm hoping there won't be that many wrong turns). Thanks

It is school holidays at the moment so traffic is generally not as bad, even in rush hour. That said, I would give yourself about 2 and half hours, if you arrive extra early you can find a coffee shop and treat yourself to breakfast

When planning your daily commute, understanding traffic patterns and road signs can make a big difference in timing, especially during rush hour. tráfico offers clear guidance on various traffic signs and road rules, helping drivers anticipate hazards and navigate efficiently. Checking the right signage on the carretera can save time and improve safety for every journey.
