I'm not doing SW, I'm on WW but today I am having:

B: Golden Grahams with skimmed milk (4points)

L: Ham salad sarny with Clover light, bag of salt & vinegar french fries & a danone yogurt (8points)

D: Spicy prawn cakes with noodles & veg (12points)

    Snacks: 2 satsumas

I'm left with 3 points for the day, so might have some ice cream after my dinner Smiley laugh

    Ooh no, you're missing out.

Mind you, I have to fill my plate up with poatoes otherwise it would be empty ?

Mash has no place in a roast dinner!

I'm going to have weetabix with semi skimmed milk in about 3 minutes.

Lunch will be left over stuffed peppers from last night.

Dinner is Cuban turkey steaks, salad and jacket potatoes.

Activity for today is an hour or so in the gym and possibly a shouting at by Jillian Michaels early this afternoon.

Claire, Flow, anyone who goes to groups - what does your consultant say about saving up syns? I'm only going on what my sister's consultant told her 4 years ago which is that you can have up to 15 a day, but you can't "bank" them for the weekend for example.

I also don't get the concept of "Flexible Syns" that I've read about. It says to add up what you think you'll need and then stop. Stop what? Stop counting or stop eating?!

    What does yours say?

? ahh shucks, i woudlnt say amazingly..

but clurrs said it all, its daunting at first i know and i panicked thinking it was going to be a ballache workign out whats to eat with what but seriously, if you stick with it, youl 'know' the princicples in no time and be losing weight at a gradual pace and not be starving or stopping yourself eating goodies!!

saving syns in fine, its basically what flexi syns is!! so, if your out on a friday and know your going to have over 15 (this si what they say is the top end of syns you can have a day is, they say aim for 10) then on the saturday, have less. its about planning the whole week ahead i guess.

So, if you aim for 70 a week, youl find that maybe on a monday youl only have 4 syns the whole day, so the next day, add on 4, or save them up for the event/outing etc you have later in the week

    does that make sense?

Either mash or roast potatoes for me, otherwise it all get's a bit carb-y. And if there's Yorkshire puddings, I'll only have one roast potato (as will Boy, although he protests ?).

I would rather have plain boiled potatoes than have mash without lashings of proper butter and roasties not cooked in goose fat. They are two of life's great pleasures.

Yes, perfect sense thanks Flow. It's obviously changed since my sister's days. That's really the reason we've been kind of giving up over the weekends, as we're more often than not away at weddings or the like.

My dad makes the most amazing roasties, but only makes them in the winter (when he can use "old" potatoes). In the summer, they have new potatoes with Sunday lunch. Mr Knees hates going for Sunday lunch during the summer and it's become a running joke that he now gets Aunt Bessie's!

Breakfast: was supposed to have a slice of toast with peanut butter, but I haven't had time yet! Bit pointless now.

Lunch: jacket perchetti with tuna & mayo

Dinner: homemade, SW friendly, chicken biryani
