Ideas for my F1 theme

Hi all,

Me and my Fiance are huge F1 fans and we would love it as a wedding theme but we do not want it to look cheap and tacky. As we are getting married in May 2013 we thought about using Monaco as the theme. I had the idea of champagne and table names etc but any other thoughts on what else we could have as favours etc?

    Well, An idea that could be considered tacky, but I suspect everyone would love... a scalextric track, in the dining room?

    If you could get some back and white vinyl, you could have a finishing line, instead of a red carpet...

    Not sure if any of these aren't verging on cheap or tacky, I'm afraid, but I think some of them would be great fun!

    One of our couples from last year had a few F1 themed items on their day! They'd made a table plan based on the teams, with the team colours etc. If you want to have a look it's on our website, on the clients page, right at the very bottom - Laura & Ben ? They also had an F1 themed cake, looked really good!

    Oh god my fiancé would have loved this! I love the idea of the mini champagne bottles for favours! I think if you do it in a subtle way it could be amazing Smiley smile

    Great theme! Have you ordered your cake yet? You could do three tiers but on a podium instead of on top of each other. Haha - have the three speeches like the drivers press conference . Serously though, for favours, how about something like this http://www.cakescookiesandcraftsshop.co.uk/racing-car-cookie-cutter or you could go for a chocolate mould http://www.cakescookiesandcraftsshop.co.uk/racing-car-grand-prix-mould .

    We've mixed golf into our theme a little so H2B could have his input. We've named our tables after his favourite golfers. He's super happy with that! ?

    Some people don't like the idea but it's not there day ?
