Is stockings necessary for a bride?

They are not necessary! It is up to you, if you don't like them, don't wear them. If you want some colour on your legs then consider tights (you can get ones with open toes for sandals) or using fake tan or tinted moisturiser. I think it is a sales pitch by lingerie companies thinking all brides want to wear sexy underwear and stockings and suspenders! Not everyone feels comfortable in that!

I am going bare legged, hate tights and don't want stockings as the belt ruims the line of the dress. I may look at hold ups but will invest in quality ones that stay up! The only thing the are good for are making your shoes feel less pinchy if that makes sense

It didn’t even cross my mind…! No stockings here (sorry H2B! 😂) only ‘sexy’ Bridget Jones knickers that go all the way up to my boobs and all the way down to my knees (not quite, but it feels like it!).

I have some snags, which are the only tights that I have found that don't roll down. If it's too warm for then then I'll definitely need chubby rub shorts.

It never even occurred to me to wear stockings! My dress is floor length so no one will be seeing my (bare) legs (though I’ll have a spray tan done). I’m wearing boots so it’ll be socks and a pair of big knickers for me, not the the stuff I’d be parading round in the bedroom in 😅

Urgh! No way!

If your dress is floor length, no one is going to see your legs anyway. So you'd only need stockings if you were planning on doing a garter toss, which I personally think is one of the most cringy and creepy 'traditions' on the planet!

Snag do faux suspender tights that come in a range of colours and sizes if you want that look. I have only tried the regular tights but they are comfy! It will be sexy spanx for me though 🤣

I don't think you need them. If you are going to be uncomfortable I won't even consider them. I'm changing into convers for the evening so I'm going to buy frilly scoks to wear with them.
