It is really sad that I had a (very) little cry? I wouldn't say I was a huge fan but I loved him as a child and was so looking forward to the concerts - he is the one artist I've always wanted to see.
Yep it's still unconfirmed from the hospital although lots of news channels (cbs for example) and newspapers are saying he has passed away.
I know lots of americans (including A listers etc) believe he has died. I follow ashton kutcher and melissa gilbert on twitter (I know!) and they believe he has died. This is what Ashton Kutcher has said: "Now the ap confirms aswell. Rip Sending love and light to family and friend but especially his kids"
BBC also say Associated Press have confirmed he has died.
I think he was a legend in his day and its tragic that he has spent the last few years as a shadow of what he was and now has died so young.
I feel very sorry for his children as I can imagine the surrogate mothers coming foward now to "Claim" their children (and any associated cash that comes with them)
Good grief they're rolling out the tenuous links now. "Michael Jackson's scriptwriter" turns out to be someone who wrote one speech for him 10 years ago.
Woah WTF!? We were in the pub, and the landlord put Ceefax on (really). We kept watching the 1/3 pages etc rock around, and then we asked for Sky news.
I am completely shocked. 100% shocked. Not tearful (I didn't know him, wtf) but shocked. I needed a brandy (but maybe that's a knock-on from recent family bereavements). I honestly, without wishing to sound melodramatic, feel numb. My first poster was a huge Thriller Tour poster, bought from Woolworths, in 1987. Dead on so many levels...
Yes, I agree with (was it HH?) who said to expect a Princess Diane [intended] outpouring of grief.
Woke up to the news here in DK. He may have had a rocky later life, but there is no denying that he was a huge influence on a number of people. RIP Michael.
