moh dress stress

moh dress stress 1
Please give me opinions on my MOH dress. I just got it back from the tailors and to me it looks like the lining is way too long for the actual dress, about 2inches shows at the front when I walk.

The wedding is in 2 weeks and don’t have time to go back to the tailors before. Is it worth trying to fix myself or should I just hide in the back for the pictures😂?

If you hadn't have said I wouldn't have noticed, bit now you have, I can see it. I wouldn't try and do anything myself but maybe see if there is a local seamstess who can take the lining and p, it is a relatively simple Jon for someone who knows what ther doing so they maybe able to fit you in. Or leave it, I don't think people will notice or you can say I Nia the style!

Thank you! I could officially do it (rather handy with a sewing machine and already sewing bits for the wedding) I’m just more annoyed that I was trying to save myself some time by paying someone to do it and now I’m out of pocket and might have to do the work anyways. If you didn’t notice it at first then I think I’ll just wing it, no one will be looking at my dress anyway, the brides is beautiful!

If it's just the hemline, why don't you "wonder web" it? I.e the role of fabric glue tape you just use the iron on? Much less time consuming than sewing it.

I actually love that it’s showing! 😂 But I’m clearly on my own with that.

I’d definitely say Wonder Web would be a great way to proceed xx

I have to agree with Charlotte on this tbh, didn't notice until you actually said, it's a stunning dress, I'd suggest the iron on webbing, as it's quite easy and quick to do however if you think adjustments through the sewing machine is better and you know what ur doing then go for it. My only concern would be the material of the dress for the iron/temperature....let us know how you get on. Xx

I used the wonder web and worked brilliantly. Took a bit longer than normal as I kept the iron on a really low heat as to cause any potential issues with the fabric.

Thank you for everyone who suggested it 😊
