Music for ceremony

Kayleigh, 28 October, 2021 at 14:15 Posted on Planning 1 7

I'm really worried about getting the music right for the ceremony.

I know what I want, I'm just concerned about timings and who to trust to actually get it right and how to make sure its loud enough for people to hear O_O

Will your venue allow you to go and do a rehearsal then you can try the music and also walk the aisle for timings? I am a bridesmaid and last week we went to a rehearsal to do the music etc it was such a good help for the bride.

Have you thought about hiring a singer for the ceremony?

We took inspiration from Emily who sings a wedding ceremonies in the South East.

A good vocalist will be able to sing a selection of songs that you can choose to create a wonderful atmosphere singing during the ceremony - walking down the aisle can be made even more special and they could keep guests entertained during signing of the register.

Thank you for the idea, but myself and my partner have very alternative tastes so it might be tough finding someone who we'd like! Xx

Do you have a trusted friend who can help? Maybe someone who is musically minded and understands timings and can make a rehearsal? Just thinking that a bridesmaid might be busy getting you ready and will be in the bridal procession (if you're having one) so might not be in the room to look at the music?
