Hi Missmoo - I am also getting married on 10th October 2015, in a barn, with a rustic/autumn theme! Are you me?
What do you have planned so far? I've got:
Venue/caterers
Photographer/cars/vintage bus
Hairdresser/MUA
Bridesmaid dresses
I've started collecting bits and pieces to make all my own decorations and am currently eating about 4 calories a day to start trying on dresses. I'm loving all the planning etc - any tips?
I just think that I need to take advantage of having all this time between now and the wedding! I don't want to end up panicking about things in the months coming up to the wedding! Which date are you getting married? I'm the 3rd!

Oh I agree completely! I've got a little folder and two spread sheets on the go ? mines on the 10th, like you say I just want to get as much done in advance as possible so that I'm not stressing closer to the time
Reeeeally want to start trying on dresses soon, need to shed just a few more lbs though....
Helloooo I'm getting married on the 31st! you two, especially you sparkly bear, are putting me to shame! I have sorted
venue
registrar
photographer
videographer
That's it. I thought I was doing ok but not so sure now. I'm trying to lose weight so not ready to get my dress yet. and we're trying to move house so that's taking up money and time. perhaps when I've got room to store things I'll jump back on the wedding planning wagon.
I am getting married on Saturday 3 October 2015 at the Stonehouse Court Hotel in Gloucestershire. I have booked registrar and DJ so far and currently getting quotes from photographers. We also have our honeymoon booked - flying out to Egypt on Sunday 4 October 2015.
Got my first appointment to try on dresses in All About Eve in Chepstow on 20 September 2014.
So exciting!! Glad I'm in a group with all you guys. Will be fun counting down all together. xx
My first question was going to be what have you planned and are you driving your OH's crazy yet...lol I think I am and I haven't planned half as much as you. I am also getting married in a barn with a rustic shabby chic theme.
We have booked our venue, accommodation for us and family, bought centrepieces and other décor and I have just got quotes for a cake. I thought I was mad planning this far ahead but seems I am behind..looks like the OH is going to get more ear bashing x
I've just had a lot of time on my hands, so thought I'd get on with it! The hard part is saving all the money! How are you getting on with everything?! xx
Your honeymoon hotel looks gorgeous! How long are you going for?!!! How's your planning coming along?! It's only 389 days till we get married!!!! xx

Hi Sparkly Bear! Wow you must be nearly done by now? I'm leaving flowers and decorations til next year but everything else pretty much sorted. Got my dress last week !!
Was looking at buying some fake ivy for decorations and was gardening the other day, realised an entire wall of our garden is covered in the stuff! So I suppose that's saved a couple of quid ha ha ?
I to am very please there is finally a group for us October brides! I am getting married on the 3rd October 2015 and have so far booked our venue, photographer, dj, and have bought my dress! I am trying to sort out save the dates at the moment.
O i have also booked the registra and I have started looking into cars. I also want to try and lose some weight before i start looking for dresses, i have found bridesmaids dresses that i like on lightinthebox.com (i've heard good reveiws about them) but i am yet to tell my bridesmaids who they are so that part of planning will have to wait for the time being.
I am getting married at Channels Golf Club in the Essex Barn. You seem very organised, have you thought about save the dayes/ invites yet...when are you sending them out? X
Welcome!! You are also my date twin!!! There's a few of us now with the 3rd October! Its so exciting!!!! How are you getting on with your planning?! xx
I've sent my save the dates! We are making our invitations so currently doing that and hoping to send them June time as I need to confirm final numbers 6 weeks beforehand! xxx
Wow we are so behind everyone else, I wasn't sure when to send save the dates out and we were thinking maybe in the new year, but then I suppose as we are getting married on Friday it makes sense for them to be sent out sooner then later.
Eek it's so exciting knowing what you have all booked...seems a lot of you chose the 3rd of October
How about Honeymoons, where are you all going? We wanted to go to the Caribbean but not sure now, maybe Mexico x
We are getting married on Friday the 16th October.
We were thinking of going to Barbados or Cuba just because neither of us have been there before, but have now also started to look into Mexico or the Maldives as I have had a few people telling me that it is hurricane season in a lot of the Caribbean. Although my MIL and FIL have been in Oct/Nov and said it was fine.
Wow Mauritius is stunning, I may have to take a look in more detail now, what made you choose there? xx
The planning is coming along really well, so far I have:
Booked the registry office Booked the meal Booked the reception venue & DJ Bought my dress & bridesmaids have picked out theirs Picked the wedding rings and set up the payment plan Sent out save the dates and have the invites ready to go! Spoken to my lovely local cupcake lady to arrange the cake
Phew sounds like a lot now I've written it down but I'll bet I'm behind on planning compared to others ... am currently on the hunt for a photographer and cheap honeymoon
We choose there because we knew we wanted to go to the Indian Ocean, but the Maldives and the Seychelles have rainy season in October - whereas Mauritius it is 'Spring' and the rainy season is over! We are going to the West Coast!
My friend works on a cruise ship in the Caribbean so i can ask him what the weather is like in October and let you know! xx
I've been to jamaica twice in early Nov and the weather has been glorious both times. Aruba is completely outside of the hurricane belt if you wanted to be extra sure but all the other places sound great too so I guess you're feeling spoilt for choice. we're looking at the Dom rep for our honeymoon because neither of us has been there before but there's enough to keep OH occupied as he's not a beach and pool person like me.
as far as planning I booked my florist and chair covers yesterday and bought my centrepieces last weekend. I just want to get all the big things paid off now that they're booked (especially venue) before I start on all the small details.
