I have spoke to my friend and he said St Lucia is best for honeymooners, and that the weather is mainly hot, but random showers can happen. However October is Summer season!
Another October bride here! We are getting married on the 25th. We chose a Sunday as it's a traditional church/family day. We cant wait!! So far we have booked the church, reception venue, caterers and I've bought my dress. We have everything planned on paper we just need to pay the deposits!
Hi Ladies
I'm am Oct 15 bride. Getting married on Saturday the 10th.
We've been super organised and have got lots sorted so far!
Venue
Registrar
Chair Covers and sashes
photographer
Invitations
Save the Dates
Deposit paid on wedding rings
Am making my own centre pieces and have all the bits for that
And am gonna have a go at making myself a brooch bouquet! Eek!
Another 10th Oct 2015 bride here. I have not prepared as much you all have. I have only booked the venue Salomons Estate, Tunbridge Wells and church.
l have struggled with coming up with a colour theme but I think I cracked it last night. We are not having chair covers, the chairs are green with gold legs so I have decided to use these colours as the base colours. I was also kindly given 20 silver coloured tea light holders so I added that colour into the mix.
LittleMissPanda I am so excited for Friday! I can't wait to start telling people my wedding is less than a year away! When we set the date and booked the venue it was 1 year 11 months to go - now its finally almost under a year!!
Are you doing anything to celebrate it being a year to go?!
SparklyBear I know the feeling, I can't wait to say its less than a year away... (and see the ticker finally start moving!!)
I've ordered some cupcakes to be delivered to my OH at his work as a surprise and he's booked a table somewhere for dinner but won't tell me where we're going. Have made him a little wedding planning survival kit as well which I've filled it with cans of fizzy drink, paracetamol & ear plugs to go with the manly diary!
That all sounds sooooo lovely! I don't think we are doing anything! Its my grandad's 80th so our weekend plans were kinda made for us! I expect we shall celebrate with some bubbles and cake tomorrow evening! (I own a cake business so i'll be making them myself!)
Its so exciting! I am really looking forward to my countdown saying 11 months & xxxx days rather than 1 year and xxx days!
October is a really popular month to get married! And we normally have much nicer weather than September! It will be gorgeous, especially if you have twinkly lights glowing as it gets dark, beautiful!
We're getting married 14th Oct, at the isles of glencoe hotel in the Scottish highlands. We're having a reception back home on the 17th for all friends and family who cannot attend our ceremony.
I'm getting really excited knowing its just over a year until our big day!
so far we've got venues booked, with food organised also,
photographer,
band,
invites and
dress bought.
Now Im panicing that I have so much to do and not much time for it all as we both work rediclous hours! aaaaahhhhhhh!
how are we all getting on?! I haven't done much these last couple of weeks; although now the nights are drawing in and the weather begins to turn I am going to start making my invitations! I have also booked a week off work at the end of November so that I can go ring shopping- I am having dilemmas about which type of ring to choose so hopefully when we go shopping that will help me!
Also we have our ceremony booked at the church for 12:30, and I am worrying that I should change it to 12noon because we are doing our speeches before our sit down breakfast, so it pushes the breakfast meal back to 4pm and we aren't having canapés because we can't afford them! Think I am just worrying over nothing! Not sure what's come over me today!
I'm sure everything will fall into place on the day, so don't worry too much.
I have now booked our venue, food, cake, Dj and photographer. We have had 2 videographers who we loved say they were fully booked and I just don't seem to like anyone else online so that's my little dilemma at the moment. I'm going to try on dresses with one of my bridesmaids towards the end of the month which will be the first time..I'm scared for some reason. Not sure why...I just want to look nice I suppose and scared I will hate them on. I'm sure I'm just being silly.
Have any of you started diets or fitness regimes? xx
You sound like you've made some progress! Sorry to hear about the videographers being booked, it's a horrible feeling when you think you've found someone and then they say they are fully booked. Are they are another options you can consider? Where abouts in the country are you?
Wedding dress shopping is so much fun! I have already chosen my dress, and paid the deposit. I am going to have my measurements taken on the 1st November and that's when they will order the dress! So for the last six weeks I have done nothing but exercises and eat healthily!
i am currently using my fitness pal to count my calories (I allow 1200 a day) and I use a DVD call Jillian Michaels The Collection - there are four DVDs in it and each of them target difference areas. The workouts vary from 25 minutes to 40 minutes which is perfect for me because I hate exercising - but this dress measuring has totally motivated me!
The DVD includes; 30 Day Shred, No More Trouble Zones, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism & 6 Week Six-Pack - I am currently on the 6 pack DVD as it does your thighs as well as your stomach area - I have also done the 30 shred (on and off) and so tar I have lost 10lbs in total (over 3 weeks) and that's with only doing the DVD 3 mornings a week, and binge eating at the weekend. I think if I put my mind to it, I'd be far more successful! I eat very healthy during the week, but struggle at weekends because we are always out with friends!
I don't really need to loose the weight, but in need to tone up more, I hate my thighs and think they are fat so that and my tummy are the areas I am working on!
Have you started with with any diet/fitness regimes? xxx
Wow that sounds amazing, well done on the 10lbs! I have actually got the 30day shred and was thinking of starting it this weekend so you have given me a bit of motivation now
I have been using My fitness pal too, I lost 10lbs with it last year so I am a big fan. I think the dress searching is definitely going to put me in fitness mode, my MOH has lost loads of weight recently too so I have a bit of support there.
What dress have you gone for if you don't mind me asking? I saw a Justin Alexander 6282 on a girl at a wedding show I went to recently and it was my fav so far, it's last seasons too so hoping to get it at a bargain price, it looks so much nicer on a real person then the models online.
I am in Essex, our photographer also offers videography so we might go with him and his partner for it so not too doom and gloom but I suppose I loved the one we found and got my hopes up so was such a knock back when we found out they were already booked for our date.

Hi everyone ? well I am officially twelve months today so I'm in a super excited mood today!! ?
I think the only things we have left to sort are the menswear (and my page boys, found the cutest little comic book boutonnieres for them!), invites, cake, rings and decorations. I've been collecting bits and bobs though for decorations, going to have an autumn theme with lots of golds, reds, leaves and things in jars!
Also found my veil and shoes so will probably be getting those next pay day.
So excited to be in the 12 month club now, feel like I can properly start to get excited!
Well done everyone on the weight loss too! I've dropped a stone but but will probably yo yo until next October and be exactly the same size ha ha
I'm 12 months today too! I'm getting really excited now ? Hopefully within the next few weeks we'll have some more things sorted (band, flowers, venue decorations). I've just enrolled on a 2 year Uni course as well as working full time so the more organised I can be the better!!! x

Hello date twin! My my you will have your hands full!
Here too. We are also at the 1 year mark before the big day!
Apart from booking the venue, church and photographer I have not planned anything yet. We have spent the last few months paying off debts and I am glad that the last one was paid off last week. Now we can actually start to really plan the wedding now that we know there are no other demands on our finances.
Sparkly Bear - Our ceremony is at 2pm but I am now panicking that we might not have enough day for good photographs at the venue. I am dark skinned therefore need all the natural light I get. If our photographer uses flash, my finance will look like a ghost standing next me. Oh well. At least the bride will look great?. We picked this time as we too, can't afford to feed people later on in evening/night so we are having a late breakfast and cake. We are having the welcome drinks and canapes though.

Yay another date twin! Don't worry HappyPolly, we've still got a lot of time ?
Hello all, I'm new and an October 2015 bride! Halloween actually and it's nice to see a few other Halloween brides
I'm actually seriously impressed with how organised you all are. We got engaged at the beginning of September and so far the only thing I've booked is the venue. Need to pay a deposit on the food but I literally have nothing else organised. Need a kick up the bum, organising has never been my strong point!
I'm ridiculously excited today as my wedding is in 11 months exactly! *happy dance*
Planning wise, I think I'm doing ok ... I know I need to get the invites sorted (a friend is making these) and try and work out a table plan ... urgh I'm hoping I have everything else under control ?
Need to share this with you lovely ladies though as I haven't told anyone bar my MOH and mum ... I had a dress wobble and ended up buying a 2nd one
LittleMissPanda you are my date twin! I totally didn't realise today was the 3rd!!! Wooohooo for 11 months to go!!!! Tomorrow it'll be 10 months and a ridiculous amount of days!!!!!
Talking of invites, when are you planning on sending yours? Our caterers need final numbers 8 weeks before hand - I was thinking of sending mine in May - that would give guests 3 months to respond - is that too much time? should I give them shorter?
I'm sorry to hear about your dress wobble.. What's your new dress like?! I official ordered mine 3 weeks ago (although i choose it 7 months ago!) and it is going to here around March/April time! Im sooooo excited!
