I'm a bit of a lurker on this thread but just wanted to say congrats to those who are now married and good luck to the remaining brides I'm not until the 25th October so a couple weeks to go yet. Hoping Hurricane Joaquin is gone by then as we have guests flying in from Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia and America!

Have the morning off work so I am finishing making my napkin rings then going to meet my videographer later - eek it's all feeling so real now (if that makes any sense!)

Sorry I have had such a hectic morning, interviews, non interviews, emails, live chats. You name it, I’ve done it.

Got my engagement ring back from being cleaned and it looks so shiny and new! Just got the last minute things to do which I am kinda putting off!

Also have to do a massive apartment clean as we are having people stay over! Really not enough time in the day with work and planning and having a life!

Yes I hope it hurries up now. Trying to Lapland clothes shop, wedding plan and shop, Christmas shop! I'm on snow watch every day now. They are due heavy snow starting soon then I can watch them build my chapel online. Whoop whoop!

Booking my reindeer sleigh this week. I'm ridiculously excited.

Best of all I feel like Cinderella who has just had their fairy godmother round. My short chemo curls are just about long enough to be cut and styled. I will have proper hair for the wedding! ! !

Boo to apartment cleaning! We have so much stuff at the moment you can't move around upstairs for wine, candelabras, flowers, suitcases etc!! Will be having the MOTHER of all clear outs after the honeymoon, I can't wait!

I know, its a pain, our spare room is completely blocked by washing and bike bits and wedding bits, so im going to move alot of it to my parents (maybe throw his bike stuff which he doesn’t use?!!) and then have a tidy up! Its the problem with apartments, not enough storage space in them.

Lui - I can't seem to get onto the Facebook page. I tried sending you a message on instant messenger. I tried to follow the link but it didn't work ... My dress is still in the shop, they recommend picking it up at the last possible moment. I'll pick it up on 23rd Oct in the morning. I will just burst once I pick it up, how will I be able to sleep the night before?! I'll be tempted to put the dress on and sleep in it? My toppers are just a cute claydough bride and groom.

Sounds like you guys are all organised! We've just lost a bridesmaid (5 months pregnant with high blood pressure in Asia) and a Groomsmen (in hospital in Australia). So sad they can't make it

I can't quite believe this time in 3 weeks I'll be a wifey Trying to research manicures/nail polish today as I've not had them done in years X

I have had a very predictive day and I bought myself a cheeky little gift found a beautiful pearl bracelet for the day

* iv sorted out all my boxes for the catering company (they decorate the venue)

* Bought the MOB & MOG gifts & wrapped them

* Wrapped the bridesmaids gifts

* Organised the sweets for our sweetie table

* Bagged up the favours

* Got all the colour in masks, bubbles, colouring books, crayons etc together for the kids table

Vicki2015 - So sorry to hear about some of your wedding party having to pull out. I've had a close friend pull out and that was bad enough. I feel for you love. OMG when you said you'll be a wifey in three weeks, it dawned on me that I will be in less time than that! I have a very strange sense of time at the moment. The wedding still feels like it's a long time from now, but I know it isn't ... very strange, I've finally gone mad?!!

MrsAlmostS you are steaming ahead with everything. I love your flashes, it all looks really lovely.

My OH has just come home with our orders of service, place settings, table names and seating plan. His sister is a graphic designer so she's done it all for us. Exciting!!!

We have a meeting with the registrar tomorrow to finalise the ceremony .... Double exciting!!!

Here I am, sat at work for my last stint! On half a day so outta here at 11.45!

BJNL - I keep reading about people meeting with registrars etc, and we haven't had that. Even when I sent them the music to approve, it was like, speak to your venue about music! I thought they had to approve it!

They sent us a form to fill in which had the ceremony format in it, and who will be witness and what readings etc, and we sent that back. But other than that, we've had nothing from the registrar!

Funny how different registrars do things differently!

Rebeccafcr just done your last stint before wedding, eeekkkk!!

This is the first contact we've had with the registrars in the borough in which we are marrying in since we paid them last year. Southwark don't ask you to fill in a form but meet face to face. Maybe they are extra vigilant there. I think you're right that they do need to OK the music in case you go all religious on them. It will be nice to meet Dawn (our registrar) before the day, she comes highly recommended.

Just had a little fright - the alterations shop lost my dress! Turned up a few hours later though in a back cupboard so all ok

I'm finishing work on the Thursday and my wedding is the Sunday - then I am off for 3 weeks. I can't wait X

Ive just returned from my venue after paying off the balance..it seems so real now, they were busy setting up for a wedding tomorrow and they allowed me a sneaky peek

Its up in the Yorkshire Dales and the leaves have started changing colour and it looks beautiful, I got quite emotional (happy emotional tho!)

I collected my dress yesterday, it fits lovely but worried its too tight, the seamstress assures me its supposed to be like that tho..ive ordered some spanx today to try...lol people tell me dresses will give after a few hrs of wearing so fingers crossed!

just finalised seating plans so feeling much more relaxed!

I think as long as you can sit down in the dress you should be ok, that was my major worry then realised its not a super tight dress so should be worried.

I practised sitting down in the shop and i was fine, i had great posture! lol! i think I'm just not used to wearing something so tight and its boned too which makes it feel tighter! no carbs for me for the next 2 weeks!
