Order of Day

Why not just make your own.

We’re making our own. We’ve printed out a few on to paper to put on the chairs in the ceremony (mainly for the older guests where it’s traditional)
Then we have a large board with pictures and timings on. But if we weren’t having them I wouldn’t be bothered. I feel like it’s going to stress me if we dont keep to the times 🤣

Ceremony - 1pm (maybe, double check with Boris) Drinks - 2pm (hopefully, though we’ve been drinking since date 1)

We are getting an order of the day sign done, we have quite a long day as the ceremony is 11.30am and I'm just dreading people leaving early in the day so think the sign will make it clear what's to come later on 😊

I'm putting the order of the day on the invitations and likely a printout on each chair at the ceremony x

I've had mine printed on the invitations, but I'm also going to make one for the venue too

I think they are worth having, most people know it may not be a rigid order of the day but they can be really helpful. Especially when at weddings with guests staying at the venue if they need to pop back to their room / check in properly it's handy to know if you have a sensible window to quickly pop out and do this!

We will also put ours on our website closer to the time so people know timings for food as think that's helpful to know too!

We’re making our own with a wood pallet too. I’m not keen on the idea of paper on the chairs but I thought a wood pallet would fit quite well with our theme.
I think it’s nice to give guests some idea of timings although I doubt we’ll stick to them rigidly

View quoted message A tip for writing on stuff if you don’t link your handwriting is print the wording on paper, use a pencil and colour in the back behind the letters and the hold that over the wood and press over the outline with a pen. The pencil will transfer then you have something to follow.


I did this with a couple of my wedding projects as I don’t like my handwriting either!

We had order of the day cards made for us by Paul Wallace Orca Creative Limited. He used our wedding invitation as a template design and we incorporated a game inside it as originally we hoped to have pallet signs but because we had to uninvite guests it meant I couldn't ask the person we were going to have bring these along on the day just come and drop them off so opted for nice keepsake cards and also got a roller banner and signage done in the same design as our wedding invitations. We were only allowed 30 people and we we're not allowed giant games.

Im thinking of doing postcards on seats. Design it on canva and then printing on vistaprint. Should work out pretty cheap
