Peacock theme bad luck

I was going to have my wedding theme as peacock feathers. Had 1delivered today just to have a look at the colours. My friend was here with me and nearly had a heart attack when I told her my idea. Apparently peacock feathers are bad luck. Are they ?

    We went to the wedding show at the NEC and I am keeping the colours for sure.
