I've just taken to shortening it down, I never considered it had the same initials as Playa den bossa!

Hi everyone thanks for your input. I could send the invites as they are, but the guests have already had a Save the Date that tells them as much as the invite would without a venue so Im going to holdout till this is sorted.

B or Eileeen do you know how far the drive from Saint Augusti to Amante would be? It looks lovely

    Cheers

I'd say 45min to be safe, more if it's a bus!

    two choices of route:

    san augusti>>san antonio>>san rafael>>santa gertrudis roundabout>>bambuddha grove roundabout>>cala llonga>>amante

    or

    san augusti>>san jose>>ibiza town (motorway)>>jesus>>roca llisa>>cala llonga>>amante

    hope that helps.

    Hi Tam,

The San Agustin church is about the same distance as Es Cuebells, about 25/30 minutes to Amante.

San Carlos is about 15 minutes.

If you are hiring transport anyway I don't think it will make a difference to the price if its one end of the Island or the other!!! The coaches are air conditioned and guests enjoy the 'Island tour' Smiley smile So really it is more important that you can book the church you find the prettiest for yourselves!!!

Lol!!! B we must stop meeting like this Smiley smile It must be winter - not so busy Smiley smile OK I concede - by coach it is about 45minutes - was thinking about winter going in the car Smiley smile - but no where is far anyway,

in London going 3 miles takes about 2 hours!!!!!!

Hi I just read what happened to your church, how frustrating!

I am in the process of booking San Agustin Church and have a couple of photos of it if that helps at all.

good luck, don't stress tho, everything happens for a reason and all that Smiley winking xx

You made a good point anyway - it shouldn't affect the price of a bus ;-)

i think they are generally 'per trip', but check with Tiff to be sure, she's the expert.

I think the bedrooms are lovely, but I guess it depends what you are after? They are typical, rustic Ibiza style, not basic. They aren't super glamorous, contemporary hotel style. They suit the style of the villa perfectlty and are perfectly lovely for your guests. It does appear on another website, villas in ibiza under the name of villa balinesa, take a look there as there are some more pictures.

    Hi Girls,

I'm an ibiza-bride-to-be also. Haven't chosen a venue yet, but we're going in a couple weeks to look at some. Its tough because so much is shut down in the winter. Has anyone on this forum actually held a wedding yet and have some feedback on vendors and venues? We’re looking at Cas Mila but I’m a little hesitant because it looks like such a commercial touristy beach. I was hoping for something with a little more aof a private atmosphere. We’re also looking at Paissa den Bernat, but I know it’s getting booked up pretty quickly. LaurasOZ – what week did you book in June? That narrows nown my options Smiley winking

Laura, I'm hopefully visiting it in a couple weeks. I'll let you know how it goes. Looks absolutely beautiful though. Any idea if 8-15 June was still available? Thanks!

    Hi Copa,

Welcome to the forum! It's been such a help for me too! I'm getting married in San Carlos church then having reception at Pura Vida on Playa Niu Blau beach. It's really off the beaten track, with a gorgeous little beach, so not touristy/as busy like Cas Mila (although Cas Mila has beautiful views too). It all depends what you're after and what your tastes are. Have a look at Pura Vida on their website, the photos really do look like that in person. You should see it when you go over in a few weeks, but it obviously it won't look as nice as it will all be shut down. The food there is amazing too but maybe I'm biased because it's my venue! Ha. There's so many gorgeous places in Ibiza – I'm sure you'll find somewhere you love! Good luck and keep us updated! x

    Hi Jenny,

Thanks for the suggestion. Does Pura vida help you with the planning? Do you mind if I ask where your guests are staying? So far I've mostly been looking at places on the other side of the island.

Most of us are staying in the Miami hotel in Es Cana, which is a lovely area, near Santa Eulalia. Yes Alexandra at Pura Vida can help you as much or as little as you like. I found my own cake-maker (Cardamom events) and florist (Floral Dreams Ibiza) as I like being more involved, but Alex will help with other things, like transport and arranging entertainment. And of course she would set it all up on the day. I'm sure she'd help you with whatever. I can email you the prices she sent me if you like? x

    Hi,

Pura Vida is closer to Santa Eulalia, but either resort is good, there are a number of good hotels very close and apartments, The hotel Tropic garden is excellent for families, Casa Luis and Can Sansa - are literally a short walk across the road. Pura Vida is nice, there are lots of other venues just as lovely, Ses Savines, is also gorgeous - more private as its a very small inlet beach. Pura Vida, is a tourist beach, but as long as the ceremony is held early evening when the tourists have gone it can be beautiful!!!

Copa - when you visit the Island, please have an open mind!! Beach venues especially look terrible when all closed up, almost like wooden shacks, but I promise they clean up beautifully!!! Another venue to consider, is Cap Des Falco - very private, over near the salt flats in the natural park area of Ibiza, on the edge of the coast with fabulous views including the sunset. We were there yesterday - walking, during the winter months we are in a walking group and we get to see all of these places when closed -as well as during the summer when we are 'working' (blessings and cakes!!).

Laura - flowers, we do have a market, but the florist is a regular florist within that market, we have a number of florist shops, you can go in and 'just buy loose flowers' , they are not cheap though Smiley smile.

Good luck with all your planning everyone xxx

I found Pura Vida to be pretty much smack bang in middle of Es Cana and Santa Eulalia. Took less than 5 mins in taxi from our hotel to the venue. We just preferred the quieter pace of Es Cana.

    Hi Jenny,

Yes it is more or less!!! I was just suggesting hotels/apartments close to Pura Vida - walking distance, - they are quite quiet. Es Cana is a lovely tourist resort, and the Hotel is nice too, of course both Santa Eulalia and Es Cana are only 5 minutes taxi ride.

What has everyone booked for their own wedding car? I'm struggling to find something. Can someone recommend something (not Tiffany Aldred as I've already contacted her).

WE're not having any special transport as I'm staying at the villa the night before, so wont need any. This moght not be your style, but I stumbled upon ducks united whilst doing a bit of googling...

I haven't had any experience with them but I found this company online http://www.exoticibizacars.com/web/index - they have a whole load of weird and wonderful cars, from Citroen 2CVs to Mercedes. Might be worth a try? I haven't decided what to do yet....looking at our budget situation we might be catching the bus to Amante!

I've just decided to get a taxi to my venue (amante) from whatever hotel I am in nearby instead of paying for cars. It's not really something I care about, and all of the guests will be inside Amante already, so not like anyone will even see a nice car!

Taxi sounds good to me - I think I'd rather put the money towards extra champagne!

Ah thanks for these options. I'm not sure Ducks United are really my style but I've contacted them to see if they have more pics. Also contacted the Exotic Cars Ibiza so thanks for that! Organising cars has been the single most difficult thing I've had to do so far! x

I’m having a white beetle through Tiff and I know that the suppliers also has a black beetle and a camper van. My bridesmaids are travelling in 2cv’s - love the quirky paint job and it really suits us and our wedding.

You could also try WBW Ibiza http://www.wbwibiza.com/home/ they do cars like limo’s, hummers etc . I’ve also spoken to the guys at Ibiza Cadillac who funnily enough do Cadillac’s http://www.ibizacadillacs.com / ****@**************.***.

I think had we been getting married and having the ceremony in one place I wouldn’t have bothered with cars but as we are at the church (still unconfirmed... arghhhhhh) and the travelling to Amante I wanted something special though they are expensive that’s for sure!! I’m paying 5oo euro for 4 hours for the beetle!! The Cadillac’s are about 300 for the same amount of time

Deffo agree on spending extra money of champers though!!

I liked the white beetle but thought that it was way overpriced. Fine if you have the money, but not in my budget sadly. I've contacted them about the cadillac but haven't heard anything back. I've contacted so many people about transport and no-one ever gets back to you, so annoying! Thanks for the WBW tip, I'll have a look.

I def need a car as we're having ceremony and reception in different venues (San Carlos church then Pura Vida) although at this rate i'll be getting a taxi – at least they're white in Ibiza!

    Hey Jenny

    Try these people too....

    https://www.ibizahire.com/transport

They do an executive driver service, might be ok if you aren't bothered about a really fancy car but just want something smarter than a taxi?!

    Hey Copa,

I am getting married in Ibiza on September 13th and having the ceremony and reception at a villa called Baix Forada...it has incredible grounds! I very nearly put the deposit down on Paissa den Bernat but changed my mind at the last minute purely based on the difference in outside space (we have 70 guests). You should check it out, it costs 9000 Euros for a week and sleeps 18 so that has helped with the costs. I booked through a great agent called Sam - ********@**********.***.

We are buying all of our drink from the cash and carry as it's so much cheaper than going through the caterers but just hiring a couple of bar staff/cocktail waiters and we have booked Eat Ibiza for our caterers.

Ibiza hire are great for hiring the sound system, lighting, bar and any additional furniture.

I'm using http://www.ibiza-weddings-spain.com/uk/cid~wedding-blessings~hedley-spargo-ibiza-wedding-celebrant.aspx to carry out the ceremony.

    Hope this helps x
