I'm an old married but I'm so upset because I recently lost my engagement ring. I'm so gutted! I absolutely loved it and it was obviously very sentimental. We chose it together in Barbados where my H proposed.

It is insured and so we will be looking to get a new one. I'd obviously much prefer to find my original ring but we will be looking at new rings if the insurance company pay out and my ring doesnt turn up, so I'm looking for inspiration. I like white gold or similar and diamond. Pls flash yours to give me some ideas.

    Megandansot we insured mine on our home insurance and it covers me anywhere in the world.

    My engagement ring is in my avatar. It's platinum with 1 carat diamond.

    I hope you find your lost one though, as nothing will be able to replace the sentimental value...

    Oh no! Thats is so sad that you've lost it. Ive only had mine for 2 months, and I know I'd feel devastated if I lost it Smiley sad

    Hopefully you can find something equally as lovely that will mean just as much to you.


    I got mine from Hatton Garden in London. I was able to choose all the different bits myself ie. I chose what kind of band/setting i wanted, then I chose whate kind of diamond i wanted in the middle etc. And they made it up for me there and then. So i suppose you could say it's bespoke!!

    Absolutely love this, its so different and beautiful

    Here's mine, I mentioned ONCE in passing I had always wanted an emerald cut diamond with sapphires either side and this is what he had made specially for me. And I think he never listens!!!

    Its off at the moment being re-rhodinised before the wedding, I miss it!

    So sorry you've lost your ring, I lost my 21st Birthday ring for about 4 months and it turned up. There's hope yet Smiley smile

    Mine is white gold and diamonds (excuse my massive hands!!) xx

    I really wanted a 1ct diamond but at the time we couldnt afford it.

    So I got a Charles and Colvard created Moissanite 1ct in 18k white gold.



    I love it, and the way it stands up off the finger is just brilliant.

    Minie is my avatar - nothing special compared to a lot of yours, I wanted something simple that would not damage when I bashed it about and we both loved it. Titanium (I wanted a harder metal) adn 0.5 c diamond

    My ring is 18ct white gold and I love it. The stones in the middle sit flat on my finger and its simple and elegant.

    I don't think I've flashed my ER yet! It's 1ct on platinum. Inspired by OH's mum who has one slightly smaller. I love petal cluster rings but they are not to everyone's taste.

    Wow, wow, wow! Thanks everyone for your replies. There are some absolutely stunning engagement rings on here!

    My ring still hasn't turned up so we have put in a claim and we will hear back from them tomorrow. I miss my ring! :-(
