We've decided to have a small registry office wedding/legal ceremony the week before our big day (long story short: to enable my friend to be our officiant and create a really personal ceremony for the main event).
We like the look of Old Marylebone Town Hall, as they have some small rooms that would enable us to have either 4 or 6 guests each without it feeling empty. My gut thought is to go for a late morning ceremony and then go out for lunch somewhere...
I've had some personal ideas (e.g. for this one my mum will walk me down the tiny aisle, I'll wear a white dress but not my wedding dress so that's still a surprise, and we'll use our 'almost went for' entry and exit music so it feels different rather than a duplicate) but I don't feel very on it with the logistics or anything! I've found the websites for registry offices super sparse and you don't even phone up or go in you can literally book a ceremony time online... which, while convenient makes me a bit nervous about pushing the button!
Has anyone done a similar thing? Anything I should be considering?
