Single white rose

Nicole, 30 of March of 2022 at 13:28 Posted on Planning 0 7
Hello,

Is anyone planning to or has used a single white rose instead of bouquets? I can’t make up my mind on what to do!
Thank you!

I think a single rose looks very elegant, it's nice and simple :-) I'm considering the idea of having corsages for myself and bridesmaids instead of a bouquet..

I’m having a bouquet, but planning on my BMs having corsages. I’ve been a BM a few times and bouquets are just so inconvenient! You want to have both hands free to help the bride with things but instead you’ve got your hands filled with flowers! My flower girls will have small gypsophila (baby’s breath) bouquets though, because they’re not going to have things to help with, and gyp is pretty indestructible! 😂

To keep bridesmaids hands free a good option is to have a bracelet corsage and that way they have their hands free and in photos - arms down palm slightly on top of thy shows them off nicely.

I have never seen a single rose used by a bride. I am thinking the main thing to get around is a way of keeping it watered as it may quickly look a little sad after a few hours. A traditional Bouquet with a handle can have a hidden oasis. Or a bouquet of cut stems are all bound and help each other stay upright.

There must be a good reason why I have never seen a single flower used.
