Small weddings on a budget.

Danielle, 2 August, 2022 at 14:17 Posted on Planning 0 4
I like the idea of a autumn/winter barn wedding, slight rustic. Small and intimate.
Don’t like the idea of a formal sit down meal though.
Just looking for some ideas or inspiration as I have no idea where to start!!

We’re pulling our wedding into a £3000 budget including wedding dress and suit. Registry office. Then 26 people for afternoon tea just immediate family and close friends then an evening reception for 70. Still includes a photo booth and photographer too. Wanted a sweet stand but created my win at a fraction of the price, table decorations and flowers I’ve done all of that myself as well as invitations. It’s doable.

    Hi Danielle,

We're having the ceremony and reception in one place. The ceremony will be in the ground floor of the windmill and the reception in a small barn adjacent. Max capacity is 50 people.

Autumn and winter barn weddings with rustic vibes are perfect for small intimate gatherings. Ditch the formal sit-down dinner. Go for sharing platters with mini sliders, roasted veggies and warm pies. Hang fairy lights and mason jar lanterns from the beams. Add hay bale seating and burlap runners. End the night with s’mores by a fire pit—so cozy!
