So paranoid

Kerry, 17 August, 2021 at 14:09 Posted on Planning 0 6

I'm really worried about being ill on my wedding day so I've decided I need to become a hermit for the next two weeks. But I live with people who go out often so I'll still be worried...

Im the same, I’m getting married on Sunday and I’ve limited seeing people since last week. Everyone who I’ve met I’ve asked if they have a cold/sore throat and if they do then I’ve cancelled 🤣 all my food shopping has been delivered so I don’t have to go shopping.

I reckon as long as the people you live with are cautious as in if they do have a cold then to stay away from you then your’ll be good.

We are getting married next Sunday and I’m not going to meet anyone indoors now, I feel really anxious about getting ill and it’s taking some of the excitement away. Our 2 eldest children had Covid last month which I’m glad about as they go out a lot so I don’t need to worry about them catching it now and bringing it home. Our younger 2 only go out if I take them out and I have taken them out lots so I don’t feel too bad that they won’t be doing too much up until the wedding. The weather is rubbish anyway.

I think it's just something you have to live with, getting married during these times. I know my OH and I were both petrified we'd end up having to self isolate just before our wedding, and I ended up crying with relief as soon as I heard the 'you are now husband and wife' bit, because up till then, I'd been terrified Covid was going to throw a spanner in the works Smiley laugh

Is a pain but worth it, a friend had her Hen at Boardmasters this weekend and 2 of the party are positive today, wedding is in 9 days and she is now 2 BM down as they are not double jabbed so isolation until day after wedding, thankfully she is double jabbed so no isolation, but now worried she will potentially test positive before wedding!
