Starting the Jillian michaels 30 day shred tomorrow any tips??

Says it all in the title really, looking for any tips etc for maximum effect!

    Be prepared to feel pain in places you din't know existed when you wake up on Thursday.

    But persevere - it does get easier.

    DONT DO IT!!!! lol.

    My Slimming World leader calls it "the devil DVD".... if she cant do it, I sure as hell cant!

    Stretch for a good 10 minutes afterwards, they only really cool down on the DVD & be prepared for some pain.

    I love it, I have 2 different weights and I use a mix of the two as my arms aren't strong! Keep going, I started on girly push ups and I can now do six real ones Smiley smile

    I'm on day 3, I can do it but it's not easy! The push ups are really hard, I do 4 then have to go back to girly ones-am hoping this will improve as time goes on. At the min I'm using tins of beans as I do not have any weights. Off to get some weights this weekend. My muscles really ache so it's gotta be doing some good! Fingers crossed anyway Smiley smile

    I've just ordered this from Amazon! Am already marreid so not using it to lose weight for my wedding but have heard so many good things about it just needed to give it a try, will let you know how I get on!

    Ahhh I have just come down with a stomach bug, how much jumping around is involved in this? I don't feel ill in myself so really want to still try it.

    There are quite a lot of star jumps, so just bear that in mind! It is a very good DVD, but I would personally recommend throwing in some additional cardio too. Perhaps alternate running and the DVD. Good luck!

    I have the DVD and after a workout you do feel pain!

    Unfortunately at the minute I am flaking about with my exercise and diet so I havent seen any improvements but once it gets closer to the time I intend to do 30 day shred every day with some normal gym or gym classes thrown in on the days that I get chance, plus swimming.

    Please put your all into it so then I can see what the effect is and it might motivate me to do the same ?

    I love all of the JM DVDs. Like the others have said, stick with it, it will get easier after a few days. If you do it 5 to 6 days a week and watch what you eat then you will definitely notice a difference.

    I found that it was one of the few forms of exercise that actually made me smaller - I trained for a couple of marathons are never really lost much weight, but the JM DVDs really work.
