Staying accountable!

Kayleigh, 23 May, 2021 at 17:04 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 2 27
I really just wanted to create a thread here to keep myself accountable for the next however many months it takes for me to hit target!

I'm 16st 10lb atm. My target is eventually 10st 7lb so a long way to go. I'd love to be able to walk down the aisle in a size 12 so fingers crossed I can achieve it! Only 73lb to go 😩😅

Good luck with the journey! How are you finding it so far? I’m currently trying to loose 1.5 stone before mine (well January ready for dress alterations). Are you following a plan ?

I very loosely follow SW. it works for me really really well until I go off the deep end. I'm an emotional eater so can be difficult to stay on track, however I'm hoping having something to head for will boost me a bit xx

Good luck! You can do this!! If you don’t mind I’d like to join this thread and be accountable too. I’m currently 13 stone 12 and I’m aiming to lose a stone before I try dresses on in 9 weeks and to be 11 stone before my March wedding 🤞🏻

I’m getting married in 7 weeks (have my 1st official fitting on Thursday). All I can say is focus on your dress.

When I bought mine in October I nearly cried - between lockdown weight gain and the fact bridal doesn’t do vanity sizing I felt awful. Between then and April when I went in to try on the dress I bought I’d dropped 3 dress sizes (6 inches on my waist) so my boutique ordered in a smaller dress to reduce my alterations bill.Since April I’ve dropped another 10lbs and 1.5 inches.
In bridal terms- initially bought a U.K. 18 (36” waist) , in April swapped for U.K. 14 (33 inch waist) and expect to be fitted to a 10/12 (my waist is now 29”). I’ve gone from 14.1 stone to 11.7 stone. I say this to say focus more on your measurements because the weight can only tell you so much- I’m hoping to lose another 10lbs Bh my end June 2nd fitting as this will hopefully give me a 28” waist.
Advice I can give is take lots of photos in underwear for your start weight so that you can focus on how far you’ve come. I say this because sometimes I forget and am down on myself. When I compare the before and after it reminds me that this weight and measurement was my initial goal. Anything more is just a bonus.
    Good luck with your journeys!

Still not fantastic but tomorrow's a new day! I average 20000 on a work day, so as long as I can keep my eating in check it'll start flying off x

    Hey!
Good luck with your journey. I managed to lose about 2 stone before dress shopping (for my covid cancelled wedding), it was really helpful to have the dress as a target! Now I’ve just got to not put it back on again while I wait another 16 months to wear it!
You can definitely do it.... and I wasn’t ever totally strict with myself while losing, that’s just boring! You have plenty of time, to lose slowly but still enjoy life, food and wedding planning 😀

Can I join in? March wedding moved to August and although I've lost a stone still have 2 to go. I doubt I am going to get to my goal weight in time now, but I just want to get out of the "overweight" category into "normal" at the very least!!

You have plenty of time to smash this! Don't beat yourself up if you fall of the wagon, just get back on it and wipe the slate. Do it in a sustainable way and make health choices but don't restrict yourself. I have lost 7st 3lb over 2 years and is easier to maintain having done it slowly. You got this girl, and no matter what, you have a man who loves you for who you are not your size and that is the best feeling in the world. My before and after pics for a bit of thinsiprstion xxStaying accountable! 1

As a personal trainer who has gone through the weight loss process myself , I advise anyone wanting to lose weight to set realistic goals, depending on how many months you have left , set goals for each month, remaining in a calorie deficit and mixing cardio and weights as weights are amazing for losing fat.

Using this simple natural method i lost 4 stone in 11 months, now its mission bride bod, giving me 12 months to lose the last wobbly bits i have but still setting realistic goals for each month

Good luck, and if you need any inspiration or encouragement, i have instagram @thebodyfitlab .

Only just seen your reply, sorry! I did SW for 4 months but the switched to high protein low carb as I hated cutting things out and eating muller lights! I eat a lot of eggs for breakfast with avacado and bacon with fat removed or fruit and Yoghurt. Lots of hicken and fish but make sure half my plate has 3 different veggies. Snack on nuts and cheese or veggies and Houmus. I also fast 2 days a week so do t eat before 1pm just water. But main thing I find helps is to start day with a litre of water and then eat when am hungry not at traditional meal times, I tend to have 5-6 small meals (snacks) a day rather than 3 big ones
