it used ot make me cry everytime! Thinkg long lost families, military men who've not seen their wives in months, biggest fans fo celebs..well all their dreasm come true and its totes emosh!!

I loved it when I was a kid, I'm so excited.

People write in nominating other people for cool surprises. They are generally for people who are ill, or who have done a good deed, and they used to do ones where they would fly someones mother/sister/brother (you get the idea) in from wherever they'd emigrated to 20 years ago.

Cilla used to sing a song at the beginning... 'Surprise,, surprise..........etc'

Cant wait, my H will hate it!

Unfortunately I am old enough to remember it and used to end up in tears every Sunday night.

Cilla used to find long lost relatives for people, arrange fans to meet up with their favourite stars, arrange for people to carry out their dreams e.g. wing walk, swim with dolphins, , you know the usual cheese fest.

Daddy flow used to sing 'Surprise Surprise, Cillas heads falls off and she loses her eyeeesssss'..as kids this was obvioulsy hilarious?

I remember watching it as a child but only remember the song not what the actual show was about.

22 so having just googled it I was 7 when it finished so hence why I don't really remember it!

I loved it! I remember upsetting my Mum when I was little as I got so caught up in the emotion of it all, I said I wished Cilla was my Mum! Whoops! ha ha

If they are bringing this back then they need to bring back Blind Date!!

That was actually what I thought when I read the post earlier.

Of course its cringey, demeaning to women and has that oaf Paddy McGuiness on it but ultimately, its Saturday night trash telly at its best and clearly the new blind date.

Same. 'Our' Cilla is meant to be a vile rude cow - my friend met her in a work situation and she confirmed the rumours I had heard. She is very unpopular with cabin crew as well.

Agreed. But Blind Date is slightly different as you can't see the contestant you're picking. Out of all the shows to bring back, Surprise Surprise wouldn't have been up there on my list.

Never saw suprise suprise but loved Blind Date- Didn't Chris Moyles and Stacey Soloman try a god awful version not long ago?

I would love to see the Generation Game or Big Break come back ?

The lovely lady cabin crew who calmed me down on the way back from holidays promised that I could go and sit with her in the food bit and that she would tell me some celebrity gossip once the plane levelled out...I passed out during take off (gotta love the drugs) so never got to find out. Booo.
