Those handwriting invitation names...

2013_Bride_, 29 January, 2013 at 13:15 Posted on Planning 0 20

Are you doing it yourself?

Or have you asked someone who can do 'posh' handwriting?

My mum suggested one of her friends as they can do that special type of writing, but I just think what a palavour?

I'd rather just write them myself, in my handwriting, it may not be posh, but it is clear?

Does it really matter?!

It wouldn't bother me if it was scrawled on a napkin as long as I could read where and when to turn up!

I am attempting to do my own invites and will probably type them.

When we get to that stage, I'm pretty sure I'll write them myself (or OH might, depends, lol).

Yes one of her friends has 'posh' writing that will look smart, but people might wonder who'd written the invitations if it's not your handwriting! Makes it more personal too, I think. Like you are the one doing the inviting, which you are ?

Not sure that ramble made much sense, but I know what I'm trying to say...!

The invites are actually from my parents! Gone down the traditional route (didn't really even discuss any other options).

But I don't think our invites or wedding suit the whole 'posh' writing.

    Simple is fine!

D'oh - sorry! If you're swaying towards 'simple', I'd go with that. Whichever you think will suit the whole thing better ? and it would potentially be a bit of a palaver getting somebody else to do it for you.

LOL! Depends what the meaning of 'posh' writing is? If she just has nice normal writing then it seems like a palarva, i'd write it in my own hand or type it. I did actually go to calligraphy classes so I could learnt to write fancy for the invites, and table place cards. that was my choice and my mum made the invites so it was a total DIY job! Although worried about how i would do, I actually enjoyed writing them in the end. The feedback has been positive too, which has boosted my confidence in my writing as calligraphy writers are renowned to be their own worst critic!!!!

    Go with what you think,

    J x

Well my handwriting is rubbish due to being a lefty, so my mum is going to do it for me! She has really nice handwriting, and I've bought a black ink cartridge pen for her to use. It'll just be a nice night in for the two of us too.

I dont have handwritten invites but my mum is writing the addresses and names on the envelopes as my writing in illegible at the best of times. Hers looks way nicer than mine so she has drawn the short straw.

That you're thinking about authoring them yourself is really fantastic! To be honest, your handwriting should be just fine as long as it is neat and legible. Do you not think that sometimes that personal touch makes it even more memorable? Moreover, why worry about finding someone else especially if it is not absolutely required? Inspired by companies like nursing assignment writing services , experts can perform miracles with their trade; but, a little bit of work and personal flair goes a lot of distance. What then do you believe? Still do you want to compose them yourself? 😊

Totally get what you mean about wanting things to feel personal, even if it’s not super “posh.” I had a similar dilemma with some academic writing I needed to get done didn’t want it to sound stiff or overly polished, just needed it to be clear and well put together. Their professional essay writers uk somehow managed to make it sound like me, but just... better. No robotic phrasing, no over-the-top academic jargon, just clean, smart writing. Honestly, it saved me so much stress.

A few weeks ago, I decided to pay to write essay , and the support I received was surprisingly professional. The writer communicated clearly and even asked follow-up questions to match my professor’s expectations. The final result looked like something I would have written on my best day. Great service when you need reliable academic help.
