Train up or down for first dance?

My train never went up - not because it couldnt but just because i never wanted to disappear long enough to put it up! Mine was down, although OH did bend down half way through pick it up and rather unceremoniously hitch it up.

Mine will have to go up as I have a long train!

My train is huge, there is no way I could dance with it down.

Mine will have to go up, can imagine I'll get in a right tangled mess if I left it down.

Oh i cant decide, mine is a little long but it is really pretty and like you Tink, i dont think i will want to leave the party at all, even to sort out my dress!

i just dreas people standing on it! i might leave it down until it becomes and issue (if it does!) on the dance floor!!

Mine isn't mega long bit does have a small strap that goes around my wrist so may possibly hitch it up with that x

Mine has beading and detailing down the middle and the way it gets hooked up you still see all that. So I'll be quite happy to put it up for the first dance. OH tends to twirl me round so I can see me ending up in a tangled heap on the floor if I leave it down!

My train is massive and I intend to keep it down for first dance - for me to swish swoosh as much as possible & also to let the evening guests see my dress in its full glory.

Mine is detachable - hooray for no bridesmaids having to stick their heads under my dress! ? So will just rip it off before first dance and get it put in a safe place.

Hmm I guess it depends on how moveable your train is and how long - I know I would love to have mine down (mine is a semi-cathedral and doesn't billow out) so I'm hoping I can get away with it.
