Walking down the aisle

Ok so i have been researching and different sites say different things about which side dad should walk me down the aisle! More say he is to my left and i walk back on my hubby's right hand side. Any thoughts?

Also i only have one maid of honour and no extra bridesmaids, so should she walk in front or behind me? What are the benefits etc of either or? Help!!

So dad holds your left arm and then he can sit down on the brides side easily.
Then the groom ‘should’ have his wife stand to the left of him so he has his right arm to sword fight anyone or anything that comes close 🤣
Then after keeping away any attackers and getting married you would do a 180 turn and walk back up so your now on his right arm. Your now open to attackers as he can’t get his sword, beware 🤪😂
It’s up to you if you want your MOH walking in front or behind. Normally it’s in front but if it’s behind it’s so they can help sort the train/ veil etc. If you walk in first then you would have to wait at the front for her to walk in and then sit whereas if she walks in first then she can sit and then you make your entrance.
