Weather

Hi all!

Big day tomorrow after 2 postponements and feeling absolutely gutted about the weather! I know it shouldn't matter but after having two postponed dates with glorious weather I'm feeling slightly hard done by! I never imagined in August we would be experiencing this and dreamt of an outdoor ceremony. Can any other rainy day brides give experiences of their day?

I haven't had mine yet, it's March next year so weather wise could go either way. However I just wanted to say that although good weather is always a bonus, the main event is about the couple, family, friends and good times regardless. There may be a scrap of sun here or there or maybe there will be a point u think "sod it I'm going to splash in some puddles!" You will look amazing and I hope everything else is just as u want it too. Congratulations!

Ah whatever the weather, it is finally your magical day and it will be perfect.

Hopefully it will just be showers like today. Bursts of sun and then a shower and then a shower etc. With the clouds like how they are today, the photos will be epic. I know everyone says a perfect blue sky is lovely but I LOVE the photos of the bride and groom and big old rain clouds in the background. They make them look really dramatic. Have you got time to quickly go buy some really nice umbrellas, a black one for the groom and a white one for the bride. I’ve seen some lovely weddings with the umbrella shots.I think your be so high in cloud nine that it could flood, there be a hurricane and then a massive fire and you wouldn’t notice ❤️ Yes it’s annoying and I know what you mean… it’s supposed to be august!! But least it’s not a heatwave and you get all hot and sweaty. Has the venue got covers so you can still marry outside? Though I went to a outdoor wedding and it rained and it didn’t bother any of us. I didn’t even mind my hair going curly 🤣 it was just so lovely. The guests all had their brollies up and the bride and groom stood under a gazebo.
    Have the best day ever!!!

Thank you all so much for your kind messages, they calmed me down before the day!

Just wanted to update - it absolutely poured down until 1 and then the sun came out for the rest of the day, we were able to have the ceremony outside in the end so all the stressing wasn't worth it all! x

So glad it turned out OK. Our venue is outside, a ruined Castle and eveytime it rains I get my panic mode on! I can't do anything about it I know, but won't stop me fretting for the next 8 months 😂
