Wedding dress try on (after ordering last year)

Ooh, exciting, I bet you can't wait!
I've just had my first fitting for my July wedding. I made sure to wear my underwear that I've got for the day (including my super attractive stomach sucking in shorts), my shoes, belt, veil & jewelry so I could get an idea of what the whole combination will look like. I'm glad I did that, as I discoverd my necklace that I was planning on wearing didn't look right at all, so now I've got plenty of time to find a new one.I also got the seamstress to take photos from different angles, so I could see how the dress looks from al views to make sure I was happy with it.

Agree with the above - 'test run' everything that you are planning to wear with it, so that you can make sure it all works well together.

If you’ll need help getting it on, take a member of your bridal party with you. I had my first fitting a couple of weeks ago and took my sister - my dress has a corset back so the seamstress showed her how to tie it properly. At my next fitting I’m taking a different bridesmaid who is going to film how it’s done, as well as filming how to bustle it properly.

I also took a few close up photos of the beading details to help me match my jewellery which I haven’t chosen yet, and I did my hair in a similar style to what I’d chosen at my hair trial to make sure it worked with the neckline.

Aww thanks for asking! It went great!! Love the dress just as much as I did when I tried it on - it is a bit big on me so I had a momentary freak out I looked frumpy but when the consultant pulled it in to show me how the alternations would look it was the dream!!
