I LOVE THIS IDEA! I am not a massive fan of cake myself however OH has over ridden the decision stating we MUST have a wedding cake! So boring! I love cheese and would mutch rather have a slab of danish blue on cracker at the end of the evening as apposed to a slab of fruit cake!! I suppose I had to allow him to have SOME input along the way ;-)

We are having needlefelt hearts (which I will be making) and they will have a vintage key attached and an old fashioned luggage tag with place names on (key to my heart!!) We wanted something people could take away with them after.

We are also going to add cancer research pins I think as both our mums passed recently due to Cancer.

H2b also wants to add scratch cards but might end up being too much!!

We are having similar to these... but ours will have 2 small iced flowers on them, rather than the bows on top. Then they'll be presented in a little box with the guests names on them. Our cake maker is making them.

    (Also my first flash... yaay!!)

It depends on how much time you have and how much effort you want to put in. I made some really easy and affordable "frosted" glasses and you can always add a glass charm with the date of your special day to match your colour scheme. Or you could have your guests make their own glass charms - use bowls as a centrepiece and have a bowl of beads to match your colours and either letters or numbers.

Funky jameseo - you've just listed almost exactly what I'm doing for my guests (glad someone else thinks its a good idea too!). My MIL made fabric bags that I have stamped with images/individual names and filled. Each item is wrapped/tied with ribbon and florists cellophane I got from Country Baskets.

Can I ask where you got your Molton Brown minis? Also what have you put the mints in - I wanted a nice tin or something and wasn't sure what to do.

I was thinking of maybe a scratch card in the mens bags.

    Thanks! CT
