Wedding panic!

Bee, 19 May, 2022 at 12:20 Posted on Planning 0 4
Hi everyone

My wedding day is just over 2 months away and I am starting to feel the panic! Not about getting married, I'm sure about that, that's the easy part Smiley smile but I am doing all the prep and decor myself (with the help of my mum) and I'm just starting to feel overwhelmed. We're also selling a house and buying our new house at the same time.
There's been a few set backs during the planning which have upset me. My wedding ring has had to be sent back 3 times as it's wrong, my bridesmaids dresses are different (should be the same dress), my hair trial went badly (another one tonight so fingers crossed!)
I'm finding that my anxiety is really playing up, I'm getting panicky and I can't sleep properly thinking of everything that needs to be done! My partner is brilliant and he is doing what he can.
Although I know there's loads to do, I still want to be enjoying this time and not be a nervous wreck by the wedding day. Has anyone got any tips for planning, relaxing, organising everything so it's not taking up every waking thought?
Thank you 🥺😄

Someone told me to have 1 day a week where we don'y think about the wedding, don't do anything to do with the wedding, don't plan anything and then at least youve got 24 hours stress free! Hope all goes well x

Lists lists lists and more lists! That’s my advice.
We have 9 weeks to go so I’m in a similar position and I’ve done most of it myself. FH will get involved if I ask but most men are just not wired that way and don’t spend their waking hours thinking about weddings unlike us Brides!
If you need help then ask - are your BMs able to take on some tasks? Mine are all junior except my MOH my sister so I can’t ask for much! My parents are helpful but live 5 hours away so it is a bit tricky. We are not doing much DIY except the signs and table plan as we both work full time and I have two daughters so we have a florist who will decorate the room, we are doing our own favours though so there is a bit of work. Just need to make lots of lists as I said and one day without wedding stuff is a good idea I agree! Good luck
