Have always wondered about the song and its meaning! All of your potential songs are good ones. I know what you mean about the decision making and it doesn't help when your h2b says "I don't mind" or "whatever" when you ask for his opinion! We get married 30 May next year. Not long now!

    Hi Masal,

I've only just caught up with this thread. I'm doing OK (she says rather sheepishly!).

Still got to make table plan, OODs, finish place names, and sort everything according to tables. Pick up my dress tomorrow! Lots of pampering to have still - nails and spray tan thurs, eye lashes, eye brows and pedicure friday. Also have to take everything over to venue on friday and pick up cake.

Main sticking points this the music for the actual ceremony, still have to put songs onto CD and find someone to operate it!

    How are you doing? x

We're having a civil wedding and found that listening to all diff wedding music on ITunes was easiest. If you search 'Here comes the bride' or similar - lots of versions come up - some are awful/funny/great !

As guests arrive we're having Chasing Cars but the Live Lounge version by Natasha Bedingfield - if you havent heard it - do - its amazing. I enter the room to a violin version of the Here Comes The Bride, we sign the register to the G-string one (! cant remember full name) and we walk back out to an hilarious version of the Wedding March. It starts off fairly normal, then goes all jiggy and honkytonk. Prob sounds really dodgy but its great - will surprise a few people and makes you happy !!!!

I am walking down to Ave Maria - (just the music no singing). My Fiance's grandma walked down the aisle to it when she married his grandad who sadly died last year. We love the version that we found and think it so pretty and also his grandparents had such a wonderful long happy marriage we hope it will be a nice omen for us..

I don't know yet. I'm having a religious ceremony in a castle and my pianist doesn't do the Popular Genre, so all the Snow Patrol and other songs are out.

Could have Cannon in D, not having the Traditional March as I don't like it.

So any ideas for classical piano pieces that can be shortened??

    Jo

I walked in to Canon in D then had Air on a G String for signing the register then an instrumental version of Whiter Shade if Pale when the photos were taken. We walked out to Al Green - Lets Stay Together ?
