WHERE did you buy your wedding shoes?

Pinky6, 16 January, 2012 at 00:26 Posted on Planning 0 43

I am really starting to get fed up of looking for these now, it's one of the last (main) things that I need and I have no clue what I want. I keep looking on the same sites so just wanted a bit of inspiration from you ladies to see if I can come across something different. I don't want to spend a massive amount though so no fancy shmancy designers please, that's just teasing.

I got my first pair from BHS, just normal bridal type shoes. I've got a new pair from Kurt Geiger now. They have a fab sale on, so not too expensive. Have you looked in Next & Debenhams? I saw some nice ones in there.

Kurt Geiger- there blue velvet so not really typical wedding shoes (wasn't intending on blue, ended up being a toss up between them and a purple pair) but I wanted shoes I could wear again

Dune have a gorgeous selection but they are mainly quite high so it depends what you're after. Other than that I'd recemmend Arabesque in Perth, great selection and a nice range of prices.

Next. An absolute bargain at £28.

What sort of style are you after? I'm assuming you dont want high heels as you're already tall?

I have looked in a lot of high street stores but all their shoes have massive heels. I would love to wear a pair of high, spangly shoes but as Tricks said I just need some low ones, under 5/6cm preferably. My dress is just about the right length so can't have them any higher.

BHS do some but not quite sure what the quality of them would be like. I do like your irregular choice ones Flow, will have to try the lower heeled ones on to see what they are like. Will try Kurt Geiger too then as they seem pretty popular. Thanks.

I got mine off Preloved. I had been looking for a pair for months to no avail so I put a "wanted" advert on Preloved. It must have been about 4 months after and a lady contacted me saying she had a pair of brand new bridal shoes. She sent me the link and they were just what I was looking for and a steal at £20 inc P&P when on websites they are £90!!!

These are mine and I absolutely love them https://crystalbridalaccessories.co.uk/product/vivian-fabric-wedding-comb/

My blue "party" shoes were from Ravel, my "daytime" shoes were from the outlet at Rachel Simpson.

You're right. I often buy elegant shoes from Dune and they're indeed gorgeous. Not the most comfortable because of the high heels...true, but they look so great, it 's all worth it! ?

Jimmy Choo - I went for a lower heel to ensure comfort all day. They've got a sale coming up so you could pick yourself up a pair for c£150-200 on their bridal range.

I have irregular choice too - I'm not very good on heels but a mary-jane type strap seems to sort me out..

They don't look all that online but in the box everyone who sees them literally drools...

    This!

I wanted some that a *loved* and could wear again ot black tie or similar...but in the end couldn't justify it on the basis that you won't really see them! The ones from Next are lovely - I don't love them, but that's ok ?

New Look. 20 quid beauties. They do have quite a heel on em mind and aren't particularly bridey. I would second the suggestions for BHS, they had some lovely ones last time I was in there!

Schoe (sp?) - I ordered them anyway as had been looking and they went into Sale, then realised they were blue and would fit in the wedding and have the 3 inch heel which is the tallest I can get away with.

I looked for Ivory to see but nothing I loved jumped out, or they were to high - so just going to go with these.

I got mine from Light in the Box. I'm pretty happy with them and they are a good size of heel although I did have a mega grumble about the import tax!!
