White Choc and Cranberry fudge- whose made it? *Classic Mini cooking disaster contained within.*

*Mini*, 16 December, 2012 at 09:01 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 9

Who was it who recommended this recipe to us Hitchers? I have made a batch last night as a trial run and it is lovely but so so sweet it makes my teeth feel like they will melt. It also dosnt seem to have set quite right. Its quite sticky and gooey- where did I go wrong?

Obligatory flash of baking disaster;

    Kjay I think? Mine was quite gooey for ages and then it set once I'd cut it and put it in a box. The next day I felt it was not quite as sweet too.

    I've made it although it isn't gooey. But who knows, mine could be wrong and yours right!? Did you bring to boil then simmer and stir for the full 5 mins? Did you stir choc through thoroughly before transferring to tin? Maybe the choc has t all melted and is in lumps causing a runnier mixture with blocks of choc I don't know? Refrigerate it see if that firms it up
