Sounds lovely Lockdown 2 has afforded me the time to get very organised and we have managed to do quite a bit! I was also keen to lock in the people we wanted because so many brides are sadly having to postpone.

We live in London but getting married in the midlands, where my fiancé is originally from in a barn in the middle of nowhere!

I think April as well. I've booked a few appointments but will wait and see on Covid guidelines as I want the full experience. Do you know what type of dress you want? I have no idea on where to start with a budget for it - my mum is kindly paying!

View quoted message We dont have a huge budget so we have only 700 to play with for my dress luckily the wedding dress shop have lots in that price range, remember to save money for any alterations you will need and im not quiet sure but i love the lace arms and back and buttons all the way down

Lovely! Yes, I have already put aside a pot for that. I think I may have 2 dresses so will buy the second myself. I'm thinking maybe £2000ish for the first and less than £1000 for the second but who knows! I might fall in love with dress 1!

It's also sooo hard to tell what the weather will be like in April. Just hope it's dry!

I think I want something more fitted in the day and then a two piece for the eve but I honestly don't think I will know for sure until I've decided on the main dress. What type of food etc. are you going for? Have you sent out invites? Will it be a big wedding?

View quoted message We have sent out save the dates cards only to people who are coming to both ceremony and buffet etc just so they can book in advance off work not an huge wedding as my family is too big to have them all we are having 40 during the day and 83 during the night which is plenty of people for us. We are sending the proper invations out April next year which wr have made an qr code for our website which will go on the invitation so all they have to do is scan it to see the website and of they want to say they are coming by website thats fine for the wedding breakfast guests are having a choice out of three options its a 3 course meal so will have to get responses via invation way before.

QR codes - what a great idea! How do you make them yourself?

We are having around 160 to the whole day. As people are travelling, we thought it would be best not to divide it into day and night and just have everyone there for everything! We sent Save the Dates a couple of weeks ago (mainly because so many people are having to postpone) and will probably send the formal invites out in June/July time

Chris has a big family so we are sticking to pretty much parents, grandparents, siblings and their family’s then the odd friend for the ceremony. The food side of things adds up so quickly!
