Hello, we are getting married in part of the concert halls in Glasgow http://www.glasgowconcerthalls.com/weddings we're having the ceremony and reception in the Recital Room and then I am hoping to surprise my other hal and have the evening do in the Old Fruitmarket!! The Old fruitmarket is very unusual and I have seen brilliant photos of it all lit up for a wedding and it looks stunning!! Very excited, but I won't get a definate answer until next July as the room is sometimes used by the bbc orchestra so they may need it for a rehersal space (i'm keeping my fingers well crossed until then ) They have said that they usually have their holidays the first two weeks in July so all being well it should be all ours!

It's so exciting!! Goosedale looks lovely , I love the chandeliers!!

We were considering the Old Fruit Market for our wedding but didn't fancy the hanging around til 9 months before to know if we can have the date or not.

We were talking about maybe still looking and put a deposit down somewhere else knowing we may lose it, but after finding City Halls, I haven't had the motivation to look!! Just hoping that it all works out. We are having a small wedding which the recital room is perfect for. Where have you chosen?

We'd decided to go for The Alona Hotel @ Strathclyde Park, but now OH has decided that he likes The Barony Hall so we're looking in to that just now but if we go with it then we'll need to change our date to a week earlier

Oh my lordy lord thats just somehow made it seem very real! Likliehood is we will be having a church wedding and the church hall as the reception venue, ? we cant afford much and we have a big family between us, cant wait now yey!!!! ?

I know the feeling Ellie. We cant afford much either, but luckily we have a small family! The way i see it is, it doesnt matter how much you have to spend, aslong as the people you love and want to be there are there, and are sharing yur special day, thats all that matters. Thats why i havent blown all our budget on the venue!

I am having a church wedding, and i am sure the church hall will look fantastic!
