A strange fact about yourself...

pandorasbox, 30 November, 2012 at 17:57 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 35

I have 2.

Today a doctor actually examined my butt crack. I have some psorias on my scalp and the doc at the hospital wanted to check it hadn't developed anywhere else. She was very thorough and did a whole body check up, from my head right down to my tippy toes and everywhere in between.

Whilst undressing for the said thorough examination, I noticed that just above my ankle is a leg hair about 2 inches long ? I must have missed it repeatedly whilst shaving for months. I am half tempted to cultivate it and see how long I can get it.

Anyone else want to contribute a strange fact to make me feel less mingin'?

I get one rogue hair growing out of the top of my foot. Like half way up my foot. Right on top of it. I have to remember to pluck it out every so often.

Also my real name is Billie-Jo.

    Better?

The joint on my left little toe is mangled, and so my toe crosses over the toe next to it.

When I was a kid, my Dad would get me to take my shoe and sock off to show people ?

I will come back to you when I have got it to a foot! Where is the third one located if you don't mind me asking? My friend has one but it actually looks more like a little mole on his chest.

I have a massive scar in my left armpit that makes it really awkward to shave. I once had an ingrown hair that became an abcess and I had to get it cut open and go to the doctors every day/2 days for 3 months for a dressing.

Treasure trail or the full thing? I do a little tidy up on my belly as well and don't even have PCOS to blame it on.

Happy trial I like to call it. Its mortifying really.

I also can fashion an impressive moustache if needed too.

Not body related, but buttons gross me out. I can be grown up and get past it to get used to wearing uniform, but won't actively buy clothes with buttons, jeans excluded they're different for some reason. My worst nightmare would be to have a button bouquet. Also, its a good job I proof read this, phone had changed buttons to bottoms for some reason...

I'm sorry, it's not funny, but the way you worded that made me snort.

I asked OH about me, and he said the way I always try to blame the floorboards when I guff. I was hoping for something more inspired.

I have two wigglies (uvula? the dangly bit at the back of your throat). Except, the little wiggly is just hypergrowth from where I had my tonsils out a couple of years ago.

My ring finger on my right hand crosses over my middle finger a bit when I close my hand - silly horse induced spiral fracture.

Nothing physical here, but I sometimes sing what I'm doing.. to random tunes sometimes of actual songs, and sometimes not. And along the same lines, I also get songs stuck in my head REALLY easily, and then I'll just start singing it. The worst is when people exclaim, "it's friday!!" I'll let you figure out why.

I was born cross eyed. There's a weird photo of me as a baby where my eyes were completely wonky.

Ha Pinky, H says I laugh like Frank Bruno.

I have one leg shorter than the other. It causes my pelvis to do weird things and my spine to be slightly curved. So the chiropractor says.

Chiropractors seem to say that to a lot of people... ?

Today I discovered a hair (on my head!) that was grey at the tip but changed to brown halfway up! This is only the second grey hair I have found (the first one was the morning after the wedding!) and it's some kind of weird mutant one.

JoJo I know quite a few guys who have ginger patches in their beards, it's so bizzare!

My weird body fact is that my appendix was in the wrong place. When I was 11 I went into hospital with suspected appendicitis, they couldn't see anything wrong with an ultrasound scan so kept me in hospital for another week scratching their heads. Eventually I was so sick they opted to do exploratory surgery. When I woke up the doctor told me it was my appendix but it wasn't where it was "supposed" to be.

Both of my feet do this, and I'm convinced my right knee isn't in line with my hip and foot.

Strange fact is probably that I have a mole at the very very top of the inside of my leg, in my groin right next to my lady bits shaped like a heart. D has a mole in exactly the same place shaped like a circle.

I have a hole in my ear. No, not one that is meant to be there for the functionality of an ear and it has not been pierced into the ear either (though I have both of these as well). I was born with it - it is in the cartilage (is that the right word, had to look it up in the dictionary?) where the ear is attached to the head. Doesn't have any effect on anything, doesn't cause any problems, just makes me a freak.

Also I seem to remember doctors saying I don't have any frontal sinuses.

One of the strangest things I have ever heard is a story my dad tells from his time as a paramedic during his military service time. Appararently there was a guy who had a bad pain in his tailbone area when sitting down. Turned out there was a tooth growing out of his tailbone and the area was sore as he was literally "biting" himself there.

One of my little fingers is a bit misshapen...if I lay my hand flat, my finger pokes upwards, plus I can also bend the very tip right back which freaks people out.

I have hypermobility and my knees bend right backwards without me realising and I have to remember and hold them straight. I also got told by a doctor that the damage to my body would be considered normal wear and tear for someone healthy aged about 60. My hips hurt when it's cold too.
