Well ladies and gentlemen, I interrupt our honeymoon briefly to give you a flash from our day yesterday with some pictures nabbed from our guests, to keep you going until our proper report when we get back in a couple of weeks, where we will also share our official photo album for you all.
The day was perfect, everything more or less went to plan apart from the hotel getting the wrong cake stand in (which they fixed), a couple more last minute dropouts, and our programme running 5-10 minutes late, but it was exactly as we wanted it to be.
Caz's dress was called "Tegen" from Big Beautiful Brides, for those that wanted to know. The photos below are only captioned where necessary.
The civil ceremony followed by the blessing ceremony went wonderfully and everyone seemed to like it, the food was fantastic, the speeches went well, including one of the surprises I had planned. We picked "Never gonna give you up" as our exit music (as we both love all things eighties) and I managed to get a signed congratulations card from Rick Astley himself for my lovely new wife.
The barn dance was brilliant, the caller pitched it just right for our guests, and at one point we even caught the kitchen staff (which we could see through the partly open door from that end of the room) dancing too!
So without further ado, I give you, ladies and gentlemen... the flash.
One of the members of our band is a music teacher who has a number of unusual instruments including the two player Boghorn, which got some chuckles.
We got to our room to find it had been decorated.
and in the style of all good Mills and Boon... the first sunrise on our new joint life together.
Thankyou for reading and see you in a couple of weeks!
