Morning girls, here's my wedding report and my first ever flashes! Never wanted to flash before incase the other half saw anything! If you remember my Dad was taken in to hospital 8 days before the wedding with a heart attack and was only discharged on the Tue and we got married on the Thursday. I'm so pleased to tell you that he was well enough to make it yayyyyyyyyyy!
Day before the wedding
Went to pick up my wedding dress then packed the car to take everything over to the venue. Underestimated how much stuff we actually had to take! So roped a friend in and filled his car too. Sam's family and my Mum, Dad and Uncle and friend stayed at the venue the night before and it was lovely. I went in to the ceremony room with my Dad to show him how far he had to walk down the aisle and we both cried it was very emotional as I didn't know if he was well enough to make it. I had dinner with my friend and parents then rushed around like a nutter setting one of the tables up to show the venue how we wanted it. The staff were fantastic and could not do enough for us, they helped us take all the luggage up to the rooms and even put the travel cot up for us. When we all went in to the lounge for a drink I ordered them and was going to pay and the manager said that the drinks were on him I couldnt believe it. Then Sam left to go home. I thought I would cry but I was just too excited about the next day!
My daughter was staying with my MIL so me and my friend went to my room and started wrapping H2B's presents. I had a soak in the bath then me and my friend went to bed and chatted till about 1am then I tried to get some sleep. At 3am the phone rang and it was MIL my little girl would not settle so I went to get her and she didn't go back to sleep till 5.30am and I got up at 7.30am so I was soooooo tired!
***** Wedding Day******
Ordered room service for breakfast then had a shower and moved everything in to the bridal suite. The hairdresser came at 9.30am to start doing my hair. My Mum and friend also had their hair done so we all just milled around and chatted. I was completely calm and was just having a laugh and didnt feel nervous at all. Then the make-up lady came at 11am. It was so lovely to have my make-up done. Then the manager came in with a bunch of flowers and a bottle of Bollinger Champagne from H2B it was so lovely, then the nerves started to kick in!!!!!! Only for about 10mins I calmed myself down and gave myself a good talking to, I wanted to enjoy it. Then I looked at my wedding dress and it was damaged slightly oh noooooooooo!!!! On the bow on the front the corner was folded over and it had tiny holes in it! It wasnt noticable unless you pointed it out so I thought well there's nothing I can do about it so didnt stress.
Then I was just sat drinking champagne and chatting to my MIL and friend then my MIL said are you going to start getting ready I said nah not yet I've got plenty of time and she said it's 12.50pm I had to be ready for 1.20pm! Ooppssss......... I got in to my dress no problems at all then before I knew it there was a knock on the door and it was my Mum and Dad they had come up to have photographs taken I was so pleased as I didnt think my Dad was well enough to be going up and down the stairs. Very unexpected and so lovely.
Time to meet the registrar. They were both lovely then I went in to the room with my Dad to wait for my entrance. I heard Elbow a day like today and it gave me butterflies. Then Take That Greatest Day came on I linked arms with my Dad and I was ready. I really thought I would cry but I was so happy and didn't want to ruin my make up. The doors opened and it was amazing!!!!! I could see H2B waiting for me and I just focused on him. I loved loved loved walking down the aisle with my Dad it was my favourite part of the day. The ceremony was fantastic and we had a few laughs. Then we were husband and wife yayyyyyyyyy!
Reception drinks then loads of pictures and lots outside and it was freezing but sooooooo worth it! Then had the meal which was delicious and then went in to the evening party and danced the night away with my family and friends it was so amazing the day was perfect and I honestly could not have wished for a better day.
