I know you're all out there somewhere.... I post on here a lot (see my post count! ?) but I still don't 'know' any of the other b2bs (or g2bs) that are getting married at around the same time. Come and introduce yourself. <feeling lonely icon> I need some friends </feeling lonely icon> ?...

    Hey!

    We get married June 22nd 2012 so far we have venue, church, tog, flourist, my dress, bridesmaid dresses, some little bits for quirky suprises for throughout the day.

    Picked invites just need to order them, picked cake lady just need to decide on cake we want and pay deposit!

    Whereabouts is everybody? It'd be nice to know if we've got any neighbours.

    I live on the Notts/Leics border but the wedding is in Staffordshire and the reception in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands (it's only a ten min drive between the two, just happens to be a county boundary between them!)

    Got all the main stuff booked and sorted, but keep changing my mind about things at the moment which is driving me mad.

    My wedding is also in Staffs, but we live near to Stockport/Manchester.

    Our venue is on the border of Macclesfield, luckily it is far cheaper for the Staffs registrar than Macc!

    The ceremony is in Stoke on trent, Staffs and our reception is Crewe Hall (obv in Crewe!)

    We live in Northampton, but are having the wedding in Scotland on Loch Lomond as we are both Scottish and all our family and friends live oop North!

    What a coincidence, not only are we date twins but me and my OH were thinking about Keele Hall for our wedding as well! Glad we didn't, that sounds lovely that you're getting married where you met ?

    When we booked in April it was the only Saturday free for months! It was also the only venue we wanted so the whole wedding planning only started there. So far the only problem has it has all been very Keele, not a surprise for two alumni but anyone not not used to it I would imagine it's a nightmare.

    Ah that's sweet! It is a stunning building. I went there for degree and PGCE but since I associate it with dull lectures, squished into the tiny rooms at the top of the Hall (probably the old servants quarters!) me and OH immediately removed it from our list of possible venues as soon as I remembered it!

    Hi Chidders, your my date twin.

    We're also getting married on 30th June 2012, I'm uin a bit of a lull as i've got alot of things sorted. So far i've sorted: church, reception venue, catering, my dress and accessories including gorgous shoes, the rings, bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses, the cars, DJ, cake, Tog & Vog, favours, wedding stationery (ordered but not delivered until after xmas), honeymoon to Mexico booked, table & venue decorations. Think that's it.

    Still got to sort the flowers and anything else i've forgotten.

    Hiya thought I would join in on here! Im getting married 14th July 2012 in North East

    Have all the main stuff sorted venue, registrar, flowers, cake, dj, bm dresses, my dress, wedding rings, photographer. Prob other stuff too but cant remember.

    Im making all my own stationery and invites.

    Havent sorted the honeymoon yet as cant decide where to go and we are going to sort out suits next month as advised by suit hire place.

    That is a lot of posts!!

    I'm getting married on 30th June. Have venue, reception, TOG, car, dress (on order), shoes (on order), have sent out STD's (that looks so wrong!), sweet table bits, centrepiece bits, and we know the design of our invitations/name cards.

    I'm in Hampshire (if anyone else is local, say hi!).

    Currently looking for hair/make up and bridesmaids bits.

    I'm getting married 14 July 2012 in derbyshire Smiley smile

    Please don't ask me for the done/not done list as I am in one of those planning panics where I can't bring myself to look at what needs doing and get it done, but for some reason would rather sit here in a tizz about it.

    Can anyone else tell me that they are sick of people saying we have plenty of time left?! I know 8-10 months is a lot on the calendar, but when you are have weekends to play with and other things like work etc to take into account, it doesn't feel like much.

    Would appreciate some calming comments!!

    I'm 3rd August 2012 - where are my date twins Smiley sad

    We have organised the venue, catering, DJ, my dress, BM dresses, jewellery for myself and BM's, BM's gifts, cake, florist, registrar, invites, piper - still got to get rings, kilts for they boys, gifts for the other members of the wedding party, and the honeymoon - think that's it.

    We are getting married in Glasgow, though we are living in Czech Republic at the moment.

    Yey I finally have a date twin whoooo!

    People do keep saying that but im sure everything will all come together. I work shifts so only get 2 weekends off out of 5 so it makes it quite difficult to arrange stuff sometimes but im sure it will be fine.

    Hello to all date twins (tracy 2012, Chidders and everyone else I've forgotten) - I'm 30 June 2012, getting married in Devon.

    So far have sorted Church, reception venue, caterers, wine and fizzy wine, my dress (deposit paid to dressmaker last week and all fabrics chosen), adult bridesmaids dresses (deposits paid several months ago, main fabric arrived already, accent fabric chosen last week). Save the dates sent.

    Working on florist at the moment, but fate seems to be against me somewhat - everytime I book an appointment something else in life takes over!

    Still need to sort:

    Band (Ceilidh), cake stand, hair and makeup, shoes, readings and music. Jewellery/Tiara (thinking about making them, but not sure I'm competent enough, certainly going to mock up my tiara to design it and then might have a chat with a HIB to actually do it if I can't get it neat enough.

    Have planned but not done:

    Invites, need to wait until the leaves come off the trees to get our planned photo which OH is going to turn into a line drawing for the front of the invites.

    Favours, making "fudge" (from one of the Nigella books, but it's not technically a fudge). Know the recipe works, need to sort the logistics of packaging (think I need some cellophane sheets to put inside organza bags I've bought)

    Mini bridesmaids: Going shopping with mums in January/February, looking at Monsoon, Debenhams and BHS depending on what is in season.

    Cake: I'm making, need to get the cake stand sorted then buy appropriate sized cake boards. Final practice needs making soon for Christmas...

    Remainder of stationery will be a DIY job - order of service should be easy enough once we've got the music and readings picked out, table plan requires thinking about - have ideas, not too sure they'll work though.

    Veil - almost certainly buying online can't decide whether to go for 102" wide or 76" wide - need to get some samples when dress fabric samples appear.

    Major stresses at the moment are florists (because I am so clueless about flowers - I killed the second bunch my fiance bought for me (and he put the first bunch in water!) so he hasn't bought me any since (don't blame him after the first 2)) and shoes (because what I want doesn't seem to exist).

    Anyone who's seen some silver (or dyable) shoes which aren't stilletto heels or wedges (preferably quite a wide heel for comfort/avoiding risk of spraining ankle on unavoidable cobbles!) and ideally have an ankle strap or similar to hold them on, please let me know. Max heel height 2-3" preferable nearer 2" but would consider less. Also not designer prices because I refuse to pay that much for "party" shoes, especially invisible party shoes (floor length dress!)

    Oooo Purple pixie, you so must be in for an award for that amount of posts.....?

    June 2012, Eco Vintage wedding.....in a bit of a lull at the moment, going to tackle making the invitations soon, made my centrepieces (not difficult...pile of old books tied with vintage style paper ribbon lol) , relining very tatty vintage suitcases in vintage fabric to use as post box thingy and flip flop suitcase. Bought lots of vintage lexicon cards from ebay.....having fun making words....OH is being very childish and not helping ......?

    Hey Purple Pixie....you know me of old hitched ?

    I am planning to get married 2nd June next year as long as my partner gets a visa....he is Australian and lives just outside Melbourne.

    We met playing Farm Town on facebook two and a half years ago when my marriage to Mr Toosh had hit rock bottom, we met for the first time when he flew to england on 28th December 2009.

    In the 2 years we been a couple we have spent just 7 months in the same country.....

    HE FLIES BACK TO ENGLAND IN 60 DAYS!

    OMG i am so excited....and loving the fact i got a reason to come back to hitched.?

    Hi PP,
    Another 8th June bride here!!

    We are having a civil ceremony and reception all at one venue, weather permitting we are hoping to have the ceremony outside so praying for nice weather!! We are having a fairly traditional wedding and are working our @rses off to pay for it all ourselves.

    We both love our music so have splashed out on a brilliant indie cover band for the evening. Most on the main stuff is sorted, just in the process of getting the bits together to make my invitations.

    How's everyone else coming on? Just think, once Christmas is over it will be upon us before we know it!! Exciting!!!!

    I'm another 30th June 2012 hitcher! I can't decide whether I've done enough really, but not in panic just yet.

    Have sorted; church, reception venue, bridesmaids dresses, favours, invitations (ordered, although a bit apprehensive about what they'll look like), photographer... I think that's it.

    Main thing to do at the moment is to find a dress!
