Honest opinion? Please don't take offence this is just my personal preference but it's too much on the eyes, especially the eyelashes and the lipliner should match the lipstick, never be darker. Sorry x
Agree about the lip liner, but then I'm not a fan of it anyway. Think the lashes would look perfect if maybe the eyeshadow was a little lighter, or without the heavy liner on the bottom lid? Would look more 'exaggerated natural' if you see what I mean ?
I personally dont like this one... Its my 'everyday look' but then i guess thats how i looked when i met my H2B... I prefer the top ones but not sure..?
Did you put mascara onto the fake lashes? That maybe why it looked too much? I dont tend to put mascara on the fake lashes then you get the length but they look a bit more natural.I will see if I can find a pic so you can see what I mean. Also the black (was it liquid?)eyeliner maybe a little too nightout like for a bridal look, especially with your hair colour, maybe get a soft khol in a grey if you need eyeliner? You have a really pretty face and your eye and lip shape is really lovely though!
I would say no bottom liner and match the lip liner a bit more and i think the top picture would be better and more special, as for the lashes, they do look a lot close up, shame you dont have a picture from a distance
Thankyou!! I did it all myself hence why im not sure lol, im never too confident doing things like this by myself but i wasnt going to pay the prices the make up artists wanted when at the trials they didnt listen to what i wanted at all! xx
I definately think the first one over the second because I think the second is a bit too natural. I would say the lashes are perfect but maybe a slightly lighter eye shadow so they don't look so heavy. With regards to the lips, I would just blend the liner in with the lip stick a little more and it will be spot on, its a lovely colour lip stick by the way. ps. you're very pretty ? x
I love the eyelashes. Whenever I get mine done I go for the biggest ones they offer- I dont think much to the whole "natural" look- if I wanted to look natural I wouldnt wear make up?!!
I think im going to trial again tonight and go lighter on the shadow and liner and blend my lips more, Ill post another pic later, Altough i do have a poorly eye at the minute so i may look slighlty like popeye lol! xx
I really like the lashes... when I wear them I try to keep the rest of my eye make-up simple. Possible a little heavy on the black eyeliner. Try using a dark brown instead and go a bit lighter on the bottom to see if that balances out the eyelashes a little.
I also agree that your lipliner should match your lipstick...
Well done for having a go!! I did my own make-up for the wedding as like you I didn't want to pay the prices, plus I still have the make-up I bought for the wedding and love using it!
I think the first one looks fab. Im not a fan of "minimal" makeup so im all for the heavier look and think your eyes really stand out with the false eyelashes.
I love the last pic you put on and deffo would go for the lashes. The only thing I might suggest would be to get someone else to put them on on the day as they will be able to see better. x
I think it looks lovely in all the pictures, but i so far have no idea what im having mine done like haha i never wear make up so it could be very interesting. If your sruggling maybe go to a make up counter at debenhams or selfridges and ask for their help, my cousion did this, then she bought all the make they used and she did her's herself and it looks beautiful
Great make-up, but I would think of this as more of an evening style. No eyeliner on the bottom lashline would tone it down a bit. You could always add more eyeliner in the evening. I think you were right to choose a style that emphasises your eyes though, I think it really suits you.
I think you look really lovely and I personally prefer the 1st look.
A lot also depends on what you wear day-to-day. If, for example, people are used to seeing you with a fair amount of make-up on... then if you go for a much more 'natural' look you may risk looking 'washed-out' or whatever simply because it's not what you/other people are used to seeing you as IYSWIM?
Thankyou well my everyday look as the second set where my hair is down so i guess the wedding look i have gone for is quite a bit more but thats why i emphasised my eyes so that i didnt risk looking 'samey' or 'washed out' do you think i should go with this look then girls?? xxx
This is my dress just to give an idea of overall look...
As a make up artist I have one suggestion- you need to define your brows a bit more. That's it though, I like the eyes, I don't think they are too dramatic and I like the lashes. You could do with getting the lashes closer to your natural lash line, but that would come with practice.
WSS, when I had a bridal make up lesson the lady said to use a lipstick as a stain and pat it on with fingers then use matching coloured gloss over the top, I found that worked well and made it last better than normal too, might be worth a go! I think it looks lovely and providing it makes you feel beautiful you should def go with it
